Arrived fast. Packaged well. I have never had a flip-face modular helmet before. I figured for the price I would give it a try. We recently started traveling for work. We have other street bikes but they are at our house that we see rarely. So the weather has gotten warmer and we decided to get a toy to explore on the weekends. So we had to buy a couple of brain buckets for the areas that require them Overall, Yes well worth the price. I love the quick-release chin strap and the flip-up face to talk. I do get compliments on the looks of it. Nice styling. Yes, there is more wind noise with this helmet than my $480 non-flip face Bell helmet has. Um DUH! You get what you pay for. This is a great helmet for the money. I installed 2-way radio/music headsets for my wife and myself. That really eliminates the wind noise. ... show more

i am using this product for month or two. Product is heavy. My personal issue, the glass get foggier even with vents open or close. Using vents selection should take place before rides. Only mouth peace vents is easy to change. Keeping vents open cause too much air noise, closing also have air noise but not that loud but enough to be annoyed. With vents on or off have air forces to the head. Most of the day i do have headache because of the air forces. My rides to work or home mostly highway and shoulder checks is impossible due to the force. ... show more

This is my first modular helmet. It may take some work to conform the inner helmet to your comfort level liking. Overall it's lightweight when compared to a Bell Qualifier. Road/wind noise is pretty comparable to the Bell. Pros- Comfortable weight, Internal Sunglasses, ability to flip up the front guard to talk or drink, and it's got the best quick latch chin strap I've ever used. This helmet is easy to wear glasses in, and still didn't interfere with the sunglass visor. The outer clear visor shield locks down tighter than on my Bell. Cons- No pre cut speaker slot (fitting a headset was interesting but not impossible). The plastics feel ok but could be of a higher quality. Styrofoam padding is a bit too much on brow and needs to be worked to your comfort liking. Verdict- This helmet went from me questioning whether or not to return it, to quickly being my favorite go-to helmet. ... show more

Alright, I thought I finally had a winner that fit after going through four other XXL helmets that were too small. Everything was going great, until I tried to close the chin guard. The only way to release the latch is with your thumb, and push in really hard to pull it down. Then I tried it with a glove on...forget it, I could not even feel the release button much less push it in. So every time you would want to open or close the chin guard you would need to remove your glove...not very safe Another one going back... ... show more

    • Great starter modular helemt

Great starter modular helemt. Let's start with the cons: weight is a bit heavier than expected. The shell isn't one of those "ultra light composite materials" (still good quality just not a 800 helemt worth of engineering in the build). It is a little noisey at freeway speeds (this is somewhat to be expected to entry level modulars). On to the pros: The pinlock works well. The viability is good (not excellent but still good). The ventilation is great. The ability to easily articulate the sun visor, face shield and chin lock for the modular portion (to flip that portion of the helemt up) is seemless and works excellently. The chin strap with quick release works well and can be done with gloves on without too much trouble. A note about using this in the heat: the ventilation is good but the liner is not "summer weight". You will need to take it out and hand wash it if you end up getting nice and sweaty in it. It happens. Be sure to pay attention to how it comes out so it goes back in the same way. Overall there is a lot more to like than dislike in this entry level modular helemt. I haven't had to "crash test" it (and hope I don't have to). Keep on mind with all modular helemts (even the really expensive ones) the chin area is not as secure as a ridged full face helmet. That section can come unattached during a crash/ brunt force impact. A full face helemt will always be safest. That being said I like this helemt. It's comfortable, works well and the bonus of modular design is super useful. ... show more
