we love this bookcase for our three year old. it makes swapping out toys super easy, with the little shelves & all her favorite books are at her fingertips. i only gave 4 stars because the assembly was a little difficult. we had to take it apart to get the bottom slat to fit snug, but that could be because my husband tightened the screws a little too tightly. altogether, we love this & the color is so nice ... show more

Took a bit of time to put together, but very sturdy! Looks great! Shelves are shorter spaced, so cannot hold larger books, but can just lay them down instead. Would recommend for a toy room or child’s bedroom.

I put this together in about thirty minutes, by myself, with a baby on my back. It was fairly straight forward and the pieces were labeled well. One of the screws was messed up but they sent plenty of extras. The poles inside the book part are metal which I wasn’t expecting. I did accidentally put a piece on backwards but was able to correct the mistake easily. It’s taller than my two year old so he keeps trying to climb it so just something to think about. ... show more

Overall I like the bookshelf however wish I would of read a little further in the comments and looked at dimensions of each shelf they are rather short so it only holds books that are on the smaller and narrower side. The cloth section holds about 2-3 books each, but I would worry about putting heavy books in that section-so I fitted mine with thinner books. The instructions were a bit unclear and I ended up assembling the shelf incorrectly the first time so had to disassemble and rebuild. It's ok for what you get with price.
