Bought this for my 2010 Fusion SE 2.5 and it fits perfectly. It comes with a gasket pre-installed in the housing and it is sealed in Motorcraft packaging. My old thermostat seemed fine but my radiator fans would stay on full blast whenever I turned on the AC during day or night. Did a coolant flush and installed this new thermostat. With the AC on, scan tool live data of fan speed went from 94% to 40-50% during 90 plus degree weather, and silent at night with 10-15%. Goodbye jet engine noise ... show more

Product arrived in 2 days. I have 04 Focus /2.3L with original T-stat. Problem- I have rough idling and overheating issues. Car engine temp would not go above 165 degrees when driving at 55mph at 60 degrees outside temp ' BUT' would over heat when idling for 10 min. Put old stat in hot water and heated to 205 degrees and finally opened. Put new Motorcraft RT1193 T-stat in hot water and heated to 185 degrees and opened. I verified temp with infrared scanner. I installed the new T-state and it solved my rough idling problem big time, I would stop at a red light and car shook/idled very rough, now I don't even know the car is running at red lights. I learned Engine temp is critical in that the Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor sending unit sends this information to the PCM which controls air/fuel ratios. It also solved my overheating issue. I have put over 1k in miles on car so far and everything is working great. ... show more
