I got this for a 1980 honda trail 70. Looks to be an exact replacement. I purchased others that were wrong, so I was careful about this purchase and I believe I got just what I needed

    • Dumps fuel out of the petcock
Installed the carb, put fuel into the tank, fuel immediately started dumping out of the petcock valve. Complete waste of time and now I have gas all over the garage floor.

This was great, easy to set up minimal adjustments went right on my 79 ct70 the biggest issue is I had to thin the fuel line to slide it over the jet

    • Works great on a 1980 Trail 70
Replaced the original carb on a 1980 Honda Trail 70, and it started right up no problem. Previous carb would only run with full choke and wouldn't idle. This carb has more adjustment options than the original and has now been running for several days with no problem; bike now starts up on the first kick. ... show more

    • It's ok.
It, fits, it works, adjustment for idle is responsive. Air fuel mixture requires some time to dial in. And being you adjust while the engine is at running temperature, the cold starts do require the choke and until the engine is hot the choke is used to let more air in until the engine is hot by gradually closing choke as it heats. Price was good. The reason it got 3 stars as the petcock leaked all over the place, had to use the OEM petcock from 1979 as the 2025 petcock is junk at least on the one I received. ... show more

    • Started leaking gas
I ordered this carburetor and installed it on my ct70 and within a few months i noticed it leaking fuel around peacock then found little screws that tighten all of that up was stripped out since new ive guess bc ive have never touch any of that. Not sure i could recommend this carburetor
