Had to use old one, drain screw was cross threaded and leaking. So I threw away complete junk.

Unfortunately my experience with this carb is less than pleasant because the throttle valve is longer than the OEM carb. Therefore the cable is not capable of being shortened enough to compensate for the longer throttle valve and allow it to completely close. This creates a and gap that allows air to pass through and a high idle issue is then. Even with the cable adjusted to its minimal sleeve length, the cable is still under tension in the rest/0% throttle scanario. Unfortunately it's not functional for my ATV despite that fact that it's made specifically for it. I don't know if this is a QC issue or maybe it's mis-marketed but any of the case it doesn't work for my Yamaha 125 ... show more

    • Incorrect jets installed, and stuck float, but functional after tweaks
I had hoped that this would be bolt on and make some adjustments for pilot and idle, but no such luck. Immediately started leaking gas when I turned the feed on after installation. Took it apart and found the float and float valve not moving freely. Made some minor adjustments to free it up, then reset float level with calipers per service spec. No more leak, but then found that engine could not rev; it would idle only, and reasonably smoothly, but bogged with any amount of throttle no matter how slowly/quickly applied. Took apart again and compared main jet and needle to originals. MUCH smaller main jet and larger diameter needle. Swapped both for those in my original carb and now it runs reasonably well. Seems lacking on top end, but probably only because throat of this carb is about half the size of the original, so full power from the 225 engine is probably not possible with this carb. Using it for now because it does work for the most part, with my old jet and needle, but will be pursuing parts to rebuild the original Mikuni carb to get full power back. ... show more
