I cannot stress enough how commanding the turbo charger is, I have never experienced such a fast charge in so little time! It has Alexa built in as well as Google assistant. Many security features including fingerprint sensor and facial recognition. Absolutely no lag between apps and screens. It's stock Android Oreo with Moto assist giving you do much more options like gestures; you can twist the phone to turn on the camera or use a chopping motion to turn on the light, three finger screenshot and many other features. I bought this phone for my middle schooler. The LCD screen is quite bigger than iPhone 7, but the phone itself doesn't feel heavy. Expandable SD memory card option is a huge bonus, as it only has 32GB of memory. I'm using it with T-mobile and I was surprised to see the strong signal even indoors. Not sure, but I think it has to do with the phone supporting Tmobile's band 12 spectrum (700MHz). It also supports T-mobile's wifi-calling, which can be very useful if your indoor signal is weak. My daughter had little trouble learning Android Oreo. There are lots of instruction video on YouTube. Motorola and Amazon didn't tweak the stock Android much, so there was not much confusion. Actually, I find the Motorola's tweak very useful - gesture control over the home button and three-finger hold screen shot really improved the UX. Finger print scanner on the home button is very fast and can be used in addition to the pattern unlock. I have not tried the face unlock though. Camera takes decent pictures with its bright lens. You just have to hold your camera still when taking pictures. See the attached picture. Unbelievable quality for the price of the phone. I can highly recommend this phone. Good phone, nice features for price, but NO water resistance at all. Took it to an outdoor concert out of town, and we got rained on, so i put it away in a backpack. Rain turned into a flood warning. Got to a hotel room and the phone wouldnt work. Really stressful since i couldnt contact anyone back home to let them know what went down. This definitely would become annoying to anyone who spends time in places where water could come in contact with the phone. Honestly this phone would be so so great if it had at least some water resistance so this couldnt happen. ... show more

I am a cheapskate. Generally the $150-200.00 phones I buy are pretty shaky. This is quite a step up in the same price range. The camera is excellent! It runs well and so far the battery life is great. I managed to break the back by wedging it between the top of my thigh and the steering wheel while wriggling into my Ford Fiesta (rating for Fiesta is 0 stars.) I think any phone would have taken damage in that maneuver. Backs are cheap and the Youtube videos for DIY replacement look promising. If stable WiFi, good WiFi speeds, battery life, cooler battery temps and app stability are NOT important to you, then get this phone. Otherwise, steer clear. I had it for less than a week and sent it back. It looks great but that's it. The WiFi speed on the 5 GHZ band was only 30Mbps. I'd regularly get almost that much with my 2.4 only phone. Plus it would constantly drop connections and not reacquire automatically. I get over 140 Mbps with the Samsung J7 I got to replace it all day long. The battery would heat up to the high 90s under light use and often top 100. I constantly had to keep it on the charger and apps that were rock solid previously kept crashing. Even the Kindle reading app that I've been using for years crashed on a regular basis. Motorola was a decent company until Chinese Lenova bought it. Now all their products are crap. They need to fire their entire engineering staff and start again from scratch. Samsung only for me from now on. ... show more
