  • Best Anti-Aging Tool We Have
Style: Home Gym
The media could not be loaded. We bought this 3 months ago and have been using it regularly many times a week. Yes, it's a big ticket decision, but the opportunity to return it after 60 days led us to think it was worth a try. We've been studying up on the importance of resistance training, along with our aerobic workouts, to extend healthspan as we age. Without strength training, apparently 1% of muscle mass degrades each year, and 4% of muscle strength each year! It's so slick looking we have it in the living room! (Hint: put it on a yoga mat if you're putting it over a carpet). It takes up very little room. We've owned dumbbells and resistance bands for years, but they end up back in the closet after a few well-intentioned weeks of use. They all get too boring. On the other hand, the Motion Space Trainer is fun and is something we look forward to using. And it's sitting right out there, so it's hard to avoid. That's a good thing! We're both in our 70's, strong and fit, and it's perfect for our use. But we've had younger friends come over to try it and it's totally challenging for them as well. I think it goes up to 250 lbs of resistance. One of the best things about it is being able to adjust the resistance in one pound increments. This is particularly important for those of us on the lower end of strength. For example, I used to find when a 10 pound dumbbell was too little that sometimes going to a 15 pound bell was too much. Now instead I can just dial in 11 pounds, or 12 pounds, or 13 or 14... Since we often use it together (which keeps it really fun) there are many things we can do simultaneously. Like a one-arm bicep curl. We switch sides as we rest one arm, then switch back. Many exercises are like this. And because it's so easy to adjust the resistance weight, it's perfect for each of us. In fact, on some things we do we dial in the left side as having more resistance than the right (or vice versa) - the machine is that clever that it allows that. We already had a weight bench, and that has proved invaluable for many exercises like bench press and fly. There were several moves we wanted to do that we had to get a bit clever about - so we got a split piece squat rack bench (like the F2C Max Load 550Lbs Pair sold here) and use a 3" Schd 40 PVC pipe or a metal pipe on the rack, and then put the resistance wires over that pipe to allow pull down moves (see movie). The pipe on the squat rack is also great as a balance bar for squats - we put the included waist belt on and hook the resistance wires to it and do deep knee plunges, holding onto the bar for balance. The app that comes with the machine is useless. But that is a very small deterrent. There's so many great strength videos online that it's easy to learn and find new motivation. One of the important things about the Motion Space Trainer is that there is no monthly subscription, as many of the high-end machines in this field require. And if the company were to go out of business, you'd still have a great machine to use forever, whereas the competition - were they to go under - would leave you with a useless hunk of machine on the wall that was virtually unusable because so many of them require their software to use. The Motion Space Trainer is really solid and well built too. Heavy duty steel. All the parts feel like they're made to last and very durable. And there's a little button you can move around as you need it to turn the resistance on and off without bending down to activate it - nice when you're on the bench with a large resistance holding you down. No - this glowing review was not elicited from company because they gave us one or even offered a discount. We bought it full out, and are glad we did. ... show more

  • Great Multi Gym Replacement
Style: Home Gym
This is a phenomenal piece of training equipment. I did months of research and I could not be happier with this gym. So many exercises available and my quality of workout is close to that of my now cancelled gym! I did buy the bench to go with it and glad I did. I actually bought the same bench at another vendor for a lot less money. ... show more

  • I LOVE THIS HOME GYM
Style: Home Gym
The Motion Space Smart Fitness Board- 6 IN 1 Foldable Home Gym is a fantastic piece of equipment that exceeded my expectations. Its versatility allows me to perform a variety of exercises, and the foldable design makes it easy to store when not in use. The smart features, including the mobile app and Bluetooth connectivity, add an extra layer of convenience to my workouts. One word of advice, don't yank the cord out quickly like my overly strong husband. It doesn't break the machine but you have to pull the affected cord all the way out and return it slowly then turn the machine off for one minute in order to resume your workout. ... show more

  • Device is fantastic, the App needs A LOT of work
Style: Home Gym
Overall, I'm really impressed with the machine, at the price. About $1800 all in with accessories (those would cost an extra $300-500 for competitors), so it's a screaming deal compared to Tonal or Vitruvian which are about twice as much plus on-going subscriptions. The isometric mode took a little getting used to; I absolutely love the eccentric mode and really feel it hitting my muscles harder than weights (this truly is a revolution in weight training). The MAJOR negative is the app. It is okay in showing you the exercises to do, but that's about it. It doesn't really track what you do all that well (it doesn't even know what weight you used for that exercise the last time). Plus there are a lot of cool things it could do. I'd love to see an initial assessment (you do the different exercises at your max, and then it recommends the best weight level for you), better historic tracking, and trends. The good thing is I think all that is possible with software upgrades. Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase. ... show more

  • Phenomenal for Kids
Style: Soft Dumbbell
Our daughter faces the challenges of dysgraphia, a learning disability that significantly impacts her handwriting. Her struggles with legibility and the laborious effort required to write neatly have been a source of frustration. However, we've discovered that dumbbells can serve as an incredibly valuable resource for children grappling with dysgraphia, as they can effectively enhance hand, arm, and wrist strength, ultimately aiding in fine motor skill development. These particular dumbbells are a perfect fit for kids like our daughter. Weighing in at 1.1 lbs each, they strike the ideal balance for exercises such as arm raises and extensions. Their vibrant and appealing colors make them kid-friendly, adding an element of fun to the workout routine. The textured surface offers a sensory-friendly latex feel, which is particularly beneficial for children with sensory sensitivities. What's more, they are designed with padding to ensure that even if they happen to fall on toes or other body parts, they won't cause any harm. One standout feature of these dumbbells is how the weight is thoughtfully distributed to the ends, allowing for a flexing action in the middle. This design innovation enables both hands to be utilized on a single dumbbell and encourages flexibility in movement. It's a fantastic addition, making these dumbbells truly extraordinary for young users. Incorporating these dumbbells into our daughter's daily routine has not only contributed to enhancing her physical strength but has also had a positive impact on her confidence and overall well-being. They provide an enjoyable and engaging way for her to work on her fine motor skills while simultaneously promoting a sense of accomplishment. These dumbbells have become an integral part of her journey in managing dysgraphia and fine motor coordination. ... show more
