Does what it says on the tin. It's been reliable thus far. I put it in a detached garage, thinking it might deter someone who tries to take a looksie at my stuff. If a miscreant attempts to slip inside on a quiet night, it'll probably scare the heck out of them if they're not expecting anything. Being inside a garage, I'm not sure if it's loud enough to wake the neighbors but for the price, it's just what I expected. I hope the next version is louder and has brighter lights. ... show more

The alarm is nowhere near loud enough. The batteries constantly need replacing and at the most inopportune times. so, unless you can afford many batteries and have the time to change them a lot, these are not recommended. Having the operation buttons on the side makes for many unintentional alarms.

I purchased the small alarm to use as a security item for my boat while docked overnight at a state park The only problem with this is that when in alarm mode there is no automatic silence after so many seconds, or minutes, you have to manually shut it off . I was not at the dock at night to silence, it , that made this alarm useless ... show more
