I’ve changed a lot of tires using tire irons. And I’ve ding up a few wheels in the process. So if you want to prevent damages, these will come in pretty handy. I’ve since bought a tire changing machine since I was changing tires on a regular basis, but I will have these on long trips. The weight nothing and use very little room. Surprised they survived being just plastic. Seller states "powder coated" Not on plastic. Saves your rims though.

They do exactly as intended protect your rims but will need replacing after a few or more changes. I’ve been using this product for some years now if you want to feel assured buy more, they will not outlast your spoons. I found the best applications are loose fitted tires like higher profile tires on cars and dirtbikes. Scooters, Street motorcycles and low profile car tires have really tight fitted beads will not last very long doing this kind of changes frequently. ... show more

You cant deny the need of this tool once u decided to change ur tires at home. I started off without using that tool even though I had it on my side. I immediately scratched the rim at first place. Then I shove that thing in and voila. No more scratch and was even easier to change the tire. Highly recommended. ... show more
