  • Truely great product at a great price
Size: 10 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I have used this on quite a few aluminum parts and have easily produced a polish so smooth you can easily read fine print in the reflection. It doesn't take much to produce a very high quality shine. A light touch for final results is best. I love this stuff! It's so easy to use and has lasted much longer than expected. Great product and a great price. I'm looking around for things to polish now. Once you get such great results you too will be polishing the most random and dumbest things just to see the results! Lol I have read reviews that says this product doesn't work well or turns things foggy looking. Test this in a small area on your Aluminum, if when you rub it around it DOES NOT turn black then try a different product. A couple things to consider is you might have a plastic protective coating over your aluminum or a certain alloy that isn't well suited for this product. All of the Aluminum I have polished with it has turned out phenomenal, though. Start off with good prep and then apply using a bit of pressure and when it turns black you know it's working. Work the black all around but don't let it dry. As soon as it starts to set up wipe it all off and then apply more but use a lighter touch. Keep that going and for the best finish use a very delicate amount of pressure. You can just use your fingers if you want. It will come out like a mirror. Just sand with progressively finer grit sand paper until you get to 400 or 600 grit (or higher, 800-1200 grits if you want) and then use the polish. You can polish surfaces that are more rough but the finer you go with the sanding the better the end polish will be. I buy products based upon honest, well written reviews so I try to help others by providing the that for others. If you appreciated this review could you please click "helpful" to let me know I'm not wasting my time? Thanks! ... show more

  • Works Very Well!!!
Size: 10 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Used this to restore opaque/foggy car headlights and was very impressed with the results! I did use a 3M buffer sponge attachment which I hooked to my drill, just a regular drill is what I used. Applied the polish directly to headlights and sponge and then began buffering. The headlights look so much better than what they looked prior. They obviously do not look brand new but definitely look very good! I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Wow! Headlights shine now!
Size: 10 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I purchased this after seeing a video on You-Tube by Sweet Project Cars where he used it to repair the clouded headlight plastic on cars.. Even though I don't own a buffer, I decided to try this using the old manual buffer, elbow grease. Wow! My 1994 Chevy pickup headlights were totally clouded; they now shine. You can see the silver reflectors and bulbs with totally clarity. It worked so well that I did my siblings vehicles when they came to visit. I can only imagine how much better this would have worked with a good electric buffer ( it would at least have saved me some time). ... show more

  • Great on headlights hase
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Like other people, I too saw the videos on clearing foggy headlights using Mothers, and figured I would try it on my 13 year old Rav4's headlights. Took less then 5 mins each using a drill buffer. I am very pleased with the results. After the first light was done I took a picture of the completed light and the non-treated on and posted here. it's hard to see how good it worked, as they look better then the picture shows. I don't know how long it will last, but if I need to do every 6 months, that's fine with me to see at night. ... show more

  • Shiny
Size: 10 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Doing automotive wheels, it brought out a good shine. Some heavily damaged sections had to be done twice to scrub out the oxidation. Using this product does require some good elbow grease to polish it off. Even using two power drill attachments to help with scrubbing, it took me about 40 minutes to a set of heavily oxidized wheels. Don't let it dry, because it gets tougher the drier it gets on the metal. Just wipe it on, wait maybe 5 minutes, and wipe it off. Wetting it with a water spray bottle seemed to help soften it up again. It reduced road grime and brake dust somewhat. I think the best product for cleaning metal is an acidic cleaner like Barkeeper's Friend, then follow by using Mother's to increase the shine. ... show more

  • A miracle polish
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I recently purchased an Apple Watch with a stainless steel case. After a month of wearing it, I was deeply upset when I noticed scuffs and scratches, which is bound to happened (even with the amount of $ thrown in for the stainless steel case). I googled how to remove scratches on stainless steel and found a YouTube video that introduced me to this product, Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. I had high hopes that this would work. As soon as it arrived, I was ready to experiment. All you need is a microfiber cloth and a dab of the polish, and begin rubbing it into the area of scratches. I put on gloves so I didn't have the watch slip out of my hands and get the polish everywhere. The polish starts to turn black because it means it's removing a very thin layer of the metal. After a minute of rubbing out the scratches, I wipe it with a clean part of the cloth, and TA-DA! It worked!!! I am very impressed by it. I'm going to have this handy and use it to polish things around the house! A little goes a long way. I would definitely would buy this again and recommend it to others. See my before & after photos. ... show more

  • If you're a jewelry maker/metalsmith you're gonna LOVE this! <3 <3 <3
Size: 10 Ounce (Pack of 1)
If you're a jewelry maker who doesn't have a tumbler-- THIS IS FOR YOU. I've been polishing my work by hand with polish pads, and ugh.. takes forever. Mother's solves that problem in 2 minutes or less. I mostly work with aircraft aluminum, and wow- it takes a dull brushed finished to near mirror finish with next to no work, very little time, and it makes SUCH a difference in how my work turns out-- plus? Saves me a ton of "shop time" now that I'm not wasting 50% of my time laboriously rubbing away on my work just to get it shiny. ... show more
