Had a cat code on my 05 Altima, installed it and it cleared within 10 miles of driving. Have been driving it for a week and still good, better acceleration, fuel economy and no more code all for a mere 120 dollars I’m a very happy man rn. Rough idle is significantly less as well for anyone who needs to know. No heat shield holes don’t line up perfectly but we adjusted the holes a little and got both on. It came with new gasket, bolts, springs and heat shield bolts as well. Even if it failed a year from now and every year for ten years it would still be cheaper than one CAT from any parts store.     • Heat shields and exhaust flange won't line up.
Comes with everything, heat shields do not fit. The real bad is the exhaust flange does not line up and when forced will cause and exhaust leak.

    • Bolts right up.
Bolted right up to the engine no fitment issues. Heat shields had to be manipulated with a hammer and new holes drilled in heat shields. One of the heat shields i had to leave off.

    • Mounts fit like OEM, heat shield need adjustment
The CAT does fit the engine like OEM. The heat shield does need some work, due to warping. The kit does come with all new exhaust and heat shield bolts. You will need to re-use the nuts that attach to the engine block. Very pleased with the CAT on my 2002 altima.

I replaced my catalyst on my 2005 Nissan Altima about 12 months ago but I waited to do this review to see what the long term results would be. I wasn't sure if I could do the job myself but it turned out not to be too difficult. Maintenance people wanted over $800 to replace it so I decided to do it myself. Very glad I did it myself because I saved $700. The unit fit well and I have not had any problem with it. Highly recommend! ... show more
