This pill box has different colors for day and night. It is my first pill box with that feature, my others all being one color or colored for different days. I can say that coloring by morning/night is very desirable. It is easy to determine the day by which the next compartment that isn't empty. However, I have still accidentally taken the evening pills in the morning with one color or daily color pill boxes. That doesn't happen with these. I'm not sure how long the folding plastic hinge will last. However, the compartments clamp shut firmly, which should minimize pills falling out unintentionally. The compartments are large enough for my medications and supplements, but just barely. However, this pill box is roughly the size of the largest I've found on Amazon. I got a bigger one earlier, but that is not available and is not color-coded for day/night. I use two week-long pill boxes. That way, I don't have to reload the day I finish (usually Saturday night). When I have a spare moment during the week, I fill the empty pill box so it is ready to go on Sunday morning.

As I have aged, the number of pills I take has increased. I have tried a number of pill holders and most either don’t have very secure lids, or the lids just fall off entirely. This one has impressed me so far. The lids are easy to open but feel very secure. I have dropped them from counter height and none of them opened. With other pill minders, I would have had a real mess. I’m very happy with this product and have recommended it to family and friends.

If I could give this product more stars, I would. This pill container is very well made, sturdy and each lid snaps into place securely. I’ve used slightly different pill containers over the years and would just buy a new one at the pharmacy, whenever it was time. The last three times that I bought one (latest just two months ago) had defects: ie; one of the daily lids would not stay closed). This is the first time that I’ve ever ordered one and WOW - - this pill container is by far, the best of any that I’ve used or seen.

The pill container lids stay open for easy filling. So far so good. Hope that the "hinges" don't fail like others we have used. Unlike some others, these can be selected by color. Mine are one combination, hers are another.

Be aware this pill organizer is not XL as they claim. While larger than some I have one that is much larger. So if you take a lot of vitamins this may not be larger enough. Otherwise it's fairly nice. For those that complain about the "backwards" weekdays on one side be aware that this is an AM/PM box so one side has to be in reverse in order to accomplish this. It can still be used as a two week organizer by just doing one week in the opposite direction. Lids open and close easy.

Finally, after purchasing two other pill cases also described as extra large I was able to get one that truly was! I take 14 large supplements and 6 smaller medications every day and this case easily holds them all. The only downside is that the black side is difficult to see the contents. Wish that they were both clear.
