I noticed a crack start to form on one of the corners shortly after a month, right after the Amazon return window closed. Within a couple of months of using it all 4 corners cracked on the hard shell case, and now the corners are starting to break off in a kind of crumbling effect. It seems like the heat causes it to break down and crumble after a certain amount of time. I believe they designed this to work just well enough until after the return window closes. The padded carrying case is pretty good, but I don’t know that I trust it seeing as how the hardshell case is breaking very easily; so I don’t believe it’s worth the $40 price tag. The photos I included are of two different corners that have crumbled, and the crack on the top of the laptop case keeps spreading.

I absolutely love this and it lasted me almost a year, but then it did crack. The computer case itself also the keyboard thing doesn’t fully stick on, but I still like it so that’s why I gave it the stars.

Pros: MacBook case color is nice, sleek matte It fits The carrying case seems to be of pretty good quality. Better than expected. Lining inside is super soft. Cons: Case didn’t really “snap” on so it took me a while to be sure it was even on securely. The color is a little off from the listing. Listing images give a false indication of the case material being slightly opaque so you can see the Apple logo on top of your MacBook but that’s not the case. It’s not opaque or transparent at all, it’s a completely solid color. Should have checked review photos but the listing images shouldn’t portray that. The little rubber keyboard thing is just weird and I don’t see why anyone would want to use it.

I like the color, fit and texture. Too bad it doesn't last. I had it on for about 3 months. I almost always have the laptop on a stand on my desk. I took it down to travel and noticed two corners were cracked. It could not have been impact related since it was on a stand the whole time. I have no idea why, but two corners are cracked and now the pieces are falling out. I do not recommend this product. If it can't stand up to just being on the laptop without cracking I wouldn't trust it for much of an impact.
