There is always a trade off on weight size, and protection. This is a pretty good compromise. My last macbook pro which did not have a protector, was pretty dinged up. No major damage - but lots of tiny dings and dents. This should help prevent major damage. The screen protector is very good. The keyboard protector could help guard against liquid damage, but was probably more useful on previous "butterfly" models. It installs easy and looks good (not fabulous). I would pay more for a better build quality. It only adds a little weight. Mind you it is not horrible, but if you are picky it might annoy you. Update: I am on my second one. They last about a year. It is protecting the laptop. They do crack and break over time.

The case is made of plastic and is very thin. Easy to install, but be sure you install it the correct facing way as there are tabs meant to click into the back and some on the front. I recommend cleaning the case inside and out with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and then letting it dry before installing. use the cloth to also install the case as the case will pick up finger prints. once installed, you can always clean the out side of the case using the same method as I mentioned above. This case is not meant for protection against drops, but more of keeping you mac itself from scratches. The keyboard cover does not and is not meant to stick to the keys, It is more of a rest on them, so if you are a fast or hard typist, then you may see it shift on you.

PRO: Reasonably priced Looks nice, sheer matte finish Seems to protect well CON: Top cover did not fit Corner had manufacturing defect (too much plastic in the corner) Used an exacto knife blade to carefully shave off micro-thin plastic until it finally fit (snapped on) Installation was frustrating and required modification. Was not worth returning so we corrected the issue ourselves. Not impressed with MIC manufacturing inconsistency however we understand this is the "High Cost of Low Prices" We do not plan to use the screen protector (PITA to install) or keyword silicone cover (seemed flimsy, moves a lot).

Just received the case today for my 16 in MacBook Pro. It fits perfectly, feels secure and was easy to put on. It has cents to allow heat to escape and looks very nice and professional (purchased clear). I had chosen this case because I love the look of stickers on my case (rather than on the computer itself) so I can’t speak to its drop durability but I don’t know how much it would help with that. Overall, for what I wanted this case for, I am incredibly pleased. It also came with extra silicone feeling feet, a keyboard cover (which feels pretty good), a screen protector (which I won’t be using but looks good), cleaning clothes and little storage pouch.

The case fits on the bottom with no issues, the top piece (that covers the back of the screen) had to be modified. One corner would not snap into place due to excess plastic that was not removed from the molding process. Also the keyboard cover that comes with it is too big and hangs over on the sides. I haven’t installed the screen protector yet, as I do t want to mess up doing so and have bubbles on my screen. Gonna wait for my son to do this part for me.

This is the second one I purchased in less than 48 months. This one lasted less than 10 months before the edges started cracking and chipping. I ONLY carry the computer in well cushioned carryon bag but still this happened. I would not recommend this product, if you are truly looking protect your expensive MacBook Pro!!

I have had several of these plastic hard shell cases and this one is superior to the rest. The fact that it comes with a screen protector as well as a very functional keyboard cover is another added bonus! especially for the price. I purchased another keyboard cover prior to purchasing the Mosiso case and can tell you the Keybord cover that comes with the Mosiso case is so comfortable to type on that I actually prefer it over the standard keyboard! Or at least forget that its there! I work in IT and can tell you this is a quality case bundle!! especially for the price point.
