I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could. I'm a butterfingers, and I was looking for something that would protect my laptop if I accidentally dropped it or knocked it off a surface. This case is meant to be left on your laptop at all times, and with more padding than a hard laptop shell, it has done the job extremely well (and yes, I have dropped it, knocked it off the sofa, etc., with no problems). While it's thicker than my MacBook alone, it's still slim enough to fit inside any carrying case or laptop bag. The brown color looks convincingly like leather, and it's durable, with no evidence of gouges, peeling, loose threads at the seams, etc., despite heavy daily use. Both the snap closure and the little kickstand that lets you set the keyboard at an angle are nice, user-friendly touches. I bought it just about a year ago, and the plastic corner straps that hold the laptop in place finally broke in the last couple of weeks. Once this happens, the case is useless. Honestly, I've been happy enough with this case that I'd prefer to pay more money for a version with more durable corner straps so that it would last longer, but I consider a year's worth of use for $20 to be a pretty good deal. ... show more

This MOSISO cover for the M1 A2337 is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It is sturdy, provides superb protection if your laptop is ever knocked off a table, remains on the MacBook Air while you are using it (i.e. you never take it off), it closes shut, is attractively designed, is available in multiple colors and its price is very reasonable IMHO. There's only one, albeit very serious, problem: the thing is almost impossible to put on your MacBook!! I was able to get the 3 corners on with some effort (the narrow strips at the top stretch a bit, so start with them). But after much wrangling to get on the 4th corner, I gave up!! I had to cut a full 3/4 of an inch off one of the leatherette corners (cutting diagonally) in order to stretch and pull the last corner of the cover over the corner of the MacBook! This problem could be resolved before production by having the leatherette corners affix to the laptop with a "Velcro" strip OR, simply making them shorter (less deep). Once I had the new cover on my Mac, I was delighted with how firmly it was held in place and felt confident that my MacBook would be safe from any future falls! ... show more

Ive been using for about a month now, and I have to say, I really like this cover. On the other side of that, I really couldn't find any other product like this for my laptop, so I can't really compare....There was no competition of products. BUT, I'm happy with it. Computer doesn't overheat with it either. **UPDATE** So I am finally seeing the clear plastic straps start to wear through at the stitching. It's been about a year and a half... and I use my laptop daily and cart it around with me to work and everywhere else. For the price of this case, I think it held up pretty darn well. I've never experienced my laptop overheating, and I don't even open up the panel underneath. For the cost, I will just buy another. So for what, $16, getting a year and a half out of it is fine for me, especially with how much I lug it around. But, if that's something you don't want, then maybe find something else. The weak point in the design is the clear plastic straps for the screen. They are rubbery plastic...but that will ALWAYS break at some point, especially with the force of the screen movement during opening and closing. I'm leaving at five stars because I knew when I bought this those would go at some point, and for $16, I didn't care. For me, it actually lasted longer than I thought it would, so it's still a win. The case looks good and professional, and it has protected my laptop in its regular operation and use, which is exactly why I bought it. I will be buying again. Update 7/8/19 I bought a second one of these as I wore my old one out. That being said, the second one caused some heating problems with my laptop (same laptop). I don’t know if they changed it or what, but the first one never had this issue. I reduced from 5 stars to 3 as a result, since I won’t use it now due to this issue. ... show more
