For the most part, these work great. They do seem to be airtight, but you have to watch taking the lid on and off as the inner ring will move and shift. It's not hard to flip over or fix or anything, but something to be aware of as I imagine if affects the amount of air that can or can't get in.

These are great! ANYTHING that will make keeping my apartment clean and organized is an awesome product! These containers are great and easy to use, easy to seal. They seal is perfect which should keep everything fresh and keep any pantry moths out. Or any bugs in as the case may be. Three days ago, I put a new bag of rice in one of the containers, sealed it, and placed it in the pantry. Tonight I was going make some rice pudding after dinner and when I got the rice down, I say bunches of little tiny worms crawling all over inside of the container - yuck!! I hate it when I get something from the store and it is contaminated like that! Then you worry about the flour, and anything else that was in the vicinity of the worm infestation because you never know where they are going to pop up next. Sometimes they can be very hard to get ride of. But this worked out great! The bugs were sealed INSIDE the container. I was able to clean up the kitchen and treat the sink and countertops around the sink with bleach. I was then able to SLOWLY pour the wormy rice down the disposal (very, very slowly, because rice expands and if you go too fast you will clog everything up). I then placed the container in some hot soapy water with just a tablespoon or so of bleach and removed the seal,. I let everything soak in the hot water for 30 minutes or so then washed everything out and placed it upside down to dry. this worked BEAUTIFULLY and exactly like it is supposed to! It kept the infestation I brought home from the store, from spreading into my pantry and save me a BUNCH of time, money, and, just , --eewwww. I am also thrilled with the chalk stickers and how easily everything can be marked. These are great, I am SO HAPPY with them! ... show more

At first when I got in my thought that it was white because of the outside box. When I had ordered the black ones. It's very interesting the way that they work with the lid tilting. And they look like they're gonna be a great set, nice to stack.

Lets get right into it... These canisters would be awesome if the lids were better. I like the design where you can flip it to either side and the suction takes hold. However, there seems to be too much play between the seal and the latch. Because of this, the lid tilts to either side and the silicone seal gets creased as it attempts to seal. Also, when you go to wash these, you will find that several ounces of water will get stuck inside of the lid. The only way to get rid of it is to manually pull the lid apart and drain it. This seems very odd to me. Lastly, I placed about 1/2 cup of water inside a canister and turned it upside down to see what would happen. As you can see, it leaks quite a bit. I can't imagine this translates to being airtight. If it were only a drip or two, and there weren't the aformentioned problems, then I'd feel better about it. Anyway, depending on what you plan to put in them could make all the difference. If you don't need to wash them often, draining the lids won't be much of a hastle. Overall, I like the ease of use and functionality. I just wish the lids were airtight and didn't retain water. ... show more

I mostly use these type of containers storing dry goods as it makes cleaning much easier when doing it by hand. The description says pull button cover; it's more like a lever. It also says not dishwasher or microwave safe--that's fine wasn't planning on doing that, just have a long enough "bottle" style brush handy for cleaning. Great for storing pasta from awkward sized boxes to more stackable sizes (if your cabinet is tall enough). Nice assortment of sizes, although likely too small for bulk purchases on the small sizes. All sizes have two quantity except for the tallest one, which I store spaghetti or linguini. Nice addition with the included measuring scoops and labels and pen. These are plastic for storage bins with the quick lock top. Comes with varying sizes. Good for putting snacks, rice, flower, sugar. Anything that usually comes in bulk it's nice to put in these organizers. They stack on each other as well so help to organize and make your pantry look more organized.
