  • Power specs are very confusing
Style: Thickness Planer
As many others have had problems with my cane with a small dent by the handle. Not huge but seeable but the planer works great right out of the box . Instructions are of no help with the stand so won’t it by looking at the pictures. The other complaint is that on the title it says 15 amp with 1500 wattes = 13 amps. And I have a 5.7 amp dust collector and they all go to a circuit breaker of 20 amps and the Manuel states 18 amps of wattage. But I ran both at the same time and it didn’t trip the breaker. I would like the power specifications to be more accurate this is how fires start from pulling too much amperage out of a standard 15 amp wall outlet. But other wise great product ... show more

  • Nice planer, Awesome Price!!
Style: Thickness Planer
Been in the market for a planer for a while, found this guy, it was very reasonable, and had a stand. I found a source for White Oak that is rough cut and has been used and stored outside. The picture I uploaded shows before and after. This is going to allow me to do so many awesome things! Still looking for the replacement blade size, probably will not find out until I need to replace the ones it came with, I will update once I know for sure. ... show more

  • Versatility, with a fair price.
Style: Thickness Planer
Being a homeowner that enjoys a variety of projects, I like the versatility. This unit comes with a variety of options. You can mount it to a table or the provided frame. There are rubber feet in case it would not be mounted. It comes with 3 ways to deal with the saw dust. The most challenging is putting together the frame without instructions. I had emailed the company and emailed a video on how to change the saw dust adapters and how to run the machine. But, nothing on how to assemble the frame. Here is a couple clues for you: 1) the legs go on the outside. 2) the longer pieces over lap the shorter pieces. 3) if the surfaces are parallel to the floor, then you did well. Also, the bolts don't require a lot of torque. I broke one of the 10mm headed ones by pushing a box-end wrench with two fingers. All of the negatives can be resolved easily. Edit: 12/5/2021 First, when you remove the blades be careful not to loose the little springs that put the blade(s) up to you. If you do one blade at a time, this should not be an issue (unlike what I did). The clamping bar goes in the slot on the head thick side first. Blades are 319mm x 18.2mm x 3.2mm or 12.56" x 0.716" x 0.126" per the stamped mm size conversion. Found a set of blades on Amazon that may work. They are said to be 12.5" x 3/4" x 1/8" (decimal 12.5" x 0.750" x 0.125"). They are said to be for Craftsman 351.233731 & 351.233780 from the JTEX store. I'll edit again when I see if the 0.036 thousandths makes a difference (I dought it will), and when I am able to get my hands on the blades. ... show more

  • Questionable quality.
Style: Thickness Planer
The planer started out working great, I thought it was going to be an excellent deal. I haven't even run a hundred feet of lumber through it yet, and it's having feed issues. I have to push the work into the planer and then pull it the rest of the way. When it gets stuck it leaves a black mark on the lumber from the rubber roll. I've tried taking a lighter cut, didn't help. I tried a heavier cut, didn't help. Next time I use it I'm going to try spraying the feed table with furniture polish. I'll let you know how it works out. ... show more

  • Great tool at a great price.
Style: Thickness Planer
I bought this for my husband he loves it, he has been making rotating can storage boxes. And other things, I can't get him out of the workshop he loves it so much. It's good to see him enjoying himself so much. It is very good value for the money so many of the top down planers are way more expensive. It's turning out beautiful work, it looks like a professional cabinet maker has been at work. ... show more

  • Stand is horrible
Style: Thickness Planer
I've had for couple of weeks. The planner is great. The stand is horrible, like others have said. I put 4" casters on the stand and the legs can't handle the weight. Sum it up very easy....machine good, stand crap

  • Defective out of the box
Style: Thickness Planer
As stated in another review this planer appears to be the same as the Grizzly G0505 bench top planer. Based on the jointer and bandsaw that I own from Grizzly I decided to give this guy a shot. Upon reviewing the manual from Grizzly I'll confirm that this appears to be the same planer, however, I hope that the Grizzly offering is a bit better quality (for their sake). Right out of the box the stand was missing 4 of the cross members so I can't assemble it fully. I immediately asked the seller to send me the missing parts. They replied within 60 minutes saying that the stand parts can be shipped but won't be delivered for several weeks (CoVid-19 issues). I decided to keep moving forward and set up the planer. There's not much to getting it going it's pretty much ready to go out of the box. I noticed some grinding when initially using the height adjustment but figured it might just need some movement to get the lubrication going. I guess I was wrong because around the 1 1/2 inch depth one side of the cutter head assembly seized and stopped moving. I literally didn't even have a chance to run a test piece through the planer before and obvious defect presented. I'll be returning this for a full refund. ... show more
