Description

Read more High Automation The robust MPPT algorithm can automatically track the power points and increase the power generation by 25%. With a real-time monitoring system, it can help you monitor power generation efficiency and reduce workforce expenses. Stable Dual Channel Technology This inverter adopts the Dual Channel Circuit Technology, which means two photovoltaic panel inputs can share one MPPT system that keeps the power output and transmission stability. When working, these two channels will never interfere with each other while tracking the maximum power point, which efficiently makes the power transmission rate up to 99.9%. Digital Control The digital SPWM control technology is characterized by strong anti-interference ability, fast calculation speed, high intelligent degree, high control precision, and excellent output waveform. • It's Working Fine
I’m using it with eight 12 volts, 160 watts panel connected in series; so far it appears to be working fine. As others stated, it gets hot, so, to make sure it has plenty of ventilation, I mounted it outside, under the eaves and in the coolest side of the house. I also made sure it’s tilted away from the wall so it can get plenty of ventilation all the way around. Also, this is not stated, IMO, you shouldn’t mount it flat on a wall because buildup heat can lead to premature failure. Also, don’t mount it inside the house because you’ll be wasting your money trying to dissipate the heat. Not sure why they added indicator lights on the back of the unit, instead of the front…this doesn’t make sense. As you connect your panels to the unit, the respective light turns green, meaning a good connection, but if you mount the inverter before connecting the panels, you won’t be able to see the lights. When I connected the first set of panels, the lights didn’t come on, indicating an issue. I found it was my doing; when making the cable extensions to reach the inverter from the roof, I added the wrong plugs to the cable ends, so the polarities were switch. As soon as I corrected the issue and reconnected the cables, the light turned green. You do have to cut one end of the included cable in order to hook up the inverter to house current. Make sure you connect the wires correctly; Brown – Hot, Blue – Neutral, Yellow – Ground. I recommend it be hotwired, either through an electrical box or directly to the breaker panel using a 15-amp breaker, but it’ll work fine if it’s plug in. Like I mentioned previously, it appears to be working fine so far, hence the reason for this four-star review, but only time will tell. ... show more

  • Fantastic, improved model
I have only had this product installed and operating for 1 week at the time of this review, so I can not vouch for its durability at this time. I have noticed that it is light weight and compact. I have 2 of these 110v inverters with a similar design, the other I bought a year ago. The only differences is that this one that I am reviewing is slightly smaller and has a blue led that indicates when it’s working. The only small complaint is that when you cut off the end of the connector to tie it into the grid, the wire colors are a little confusing. The ground wire is simple enough to figure out being green and yellow, the other wires can be a little confusing; brown = hot, blue = neutral. You must make sure you read the instructions carefully and triple check your wiring or else you could burn up the inverter. If the manufacture wishes to improve on this they should make the hot = black or red, neutral = white, ground = green. ... show more

  • Much better than other grid tied inverters.
I've burned out a couple of grid tied inverters over the last few years. All of them have melted where the solar panel wires connect to the input of the inverter. The Mophorn 1200W MPPT Waterproof Solar Grid Tie Inverter DC to AC 110V Micro Inverter is the first inverter that has independent inputs for each panel. This has proven to be a better design. I use it with four 285watt panels. I get around 900watt at 110volt average on sunny days. There is some loss, but not as much loss as past inverters. Its been functioning for several months without any signs of deterioration. I highly recommend this product. I will be adding more panels and an additional inverter soon. ... show more

  • Overheats producing no power output
As others have said this grid tie inverter definitely overheats which makes it a POS. I bought this and installed it September of 2021. This is May 2022, 90 degrees outside and it's overheating. I have it hanging in the shade under a group of solar panels and there is a good breeze today. It shouldn't be overheating and going into protection under these conditions. I read other reviews about overheating problems and determined that my installation with plenty of fresh air should prevent the problem but it doesn't. It's just a poor design and I wouldn't buy it again or a similar looking design under a different name. ... show more

  • Improved Performance vs My Old Inverter
I had 600 watts of solar panels attached to my old grid-tie inverter and my average maximum output from my panels was only 395 watts. This is likely because two of the six panels are mounted at a different angle to the sun than the others. I plunked down the money for this more expensive model and I'm now averaging 38% better performance and 544 watts maximum. I've had no overheat issues but I've only had the inverter for two months and it's May in Wisconsin and the inverter is mounted in the shade. ... show more

  • The inverter got overheat problem.
I purchase the WVC1200 inverter (1200W 110V). It works as expected. I don't have monitoring device. So far, it is OK. But in the hot days (over 85F), it will shutdown due to the overheat(?). It comes back around 5 minutes. I read from the other people and their system dead due to the overheat problem. It's October and the temperature is cooler now. I am not sure if it will survive when the summer comes. I am going to put a heat sink and hope it can help heat dissipation. - Added industrial heatsink on 10/12/2019 - 10/24/2019, the temperature reach to 90F. Checked the output and it looks like. No more overheat issue. ... show more

  • Doesn't have the modem for monitoring with it
Seems pretty straight forward, but it requires a modem/filter to monitor and initialize the inverters that is sold separately but not clearly noted in the description. Seems like it will work once I get the modem.

  • Solar is the future!
Good design, it feets perfectly under de solar panels. The only inconvenience is the plug that goes out into the electrical outlet (requiring a little extra time to set it up)
