I wanted an anchor for the lake when we float on the tubes but I didn't want the kids to stub their toes on it. This was PERFECT. soft if you kick it accidentally but can fit enough sand to hold 5 adults on tubes even with waves. We didnt move! Highly reccomend

Used a couple of times and works within it's limits. A small bag of sand is not going to hold your mega yacht in the Haulover inlet but it works for a very small craft (canoe, PWC, kayak, etc..) in calm-ish water. It is made well enough considering the price point so I'd say if you are realistic with it's capabilities then go for it.

I have a floating chair for the beach. I thought this would keep me from floating away. The rope would been in our people's way if they came near. When I emptied the sand out the bag got water in it so drying it out was a pain because it's a deep bag.

I like that it's small and convenient to carry around. You can add weight to your liking. Didn't appreciate it not having the D rings for the carabineers to attach to as described in the pictures. Missing bottom strap which you can use to empty bag when done. Description should match what you get to avoid expectations on this product and low reviews.
