For what it is, it's a decent, compact backpack cooler. But I can't say it's worth what they are asking for it. At the time of this review, the price for this backpack cooler is $35.99. What it has going for it, is that it's fairly compact and has straps for carrying it on your shoulders if you have to do any hiking with it. It's so much easier to load this up for a day at the park or a day hitting the bike trails. With a decent amount of ice, I was able to get 18 cans in the bag. After letting it sit a few hours, the ice still remained. Though it's not a very good test because it's still Winter and not a 90 degree Summer day. But inside the home with a constant temp of 75 degrees, no issues. But again, the sun isn't beating down on it. Also I didn't experience any leaking when the cooler was laid on it's side. The top compartment is decent for storing dry goods, and the front pocket can hold additional items such as napkins and condiments. Overall, it's decent for what it is. The bag seems sturdy, and it didn't feel like it was going to rip apart when I had it full. But I also wasn't hiking or biking with it and bouncing it around. But I don't see a reason that it wouldn't hold up. I'm kinda on the fence with this one because there are several options available at this time. And some of them offer larger capacity for less money. And honestly, look better designed. But I have not personally had them in hand, so that observation is subjective. But then, larger capacity may not be what you want, if you want a relatively compact cooler that can hold a decent amount of beverages. It's decent and I plan to use it quite a bit. This is a nice back pack. It has a small front pocket to hold some silverware and napkins and condiment packets. The larger pocket is adequate for a small two person lunch. I'm not sure it's worth. $39.99. I haven't tested it to see how long it keeps things cold so, I'll update this in the future. It does appear to be leak proof and have the nice seamless stitching. ... show more

This cooler is works great and it has so far lived up to the promise of being waterproof, i.e. water inside does not leak out if ice is the cooling medium. Typically I use reusable ice packs or small plastic bottles that I fill with water and freeze, but I went ahead and used regular ice to test waterproof and leakproof characteristics and this pack performed well. The description says it can hold up to 30 cans, but not if you are putting ice packs or the like in with the cans. I have also used the pack without ice to test how long cans stay cold, and it worked well for an afternoon on a mild day. The description indicates contents can stay cold "up to 20 hours," which would definitely require ice packs. Portability is pretty good. The pack has one small hand strap near the top, but it is too small for my hand is not very comfortable. I would prefer a larger, beefier hand strap at the top of the pack for carrying and actions like grabbing the pack and pulling it our of the car. The shoulder straps are reasonably comfortable, but not really for extended distances. It is fine from car to a picnic, party or youth soccer field. I did haul the cooler on my back when full down a steep quarter-mile trail to a beach, and I would definitely prefer stronger, wider and more comfortable straps. But they did work reasonably well. And the pack comes with a metal bottle opener attached to the pack with its own strap. Bonus! ... show more

Fairly compact sized cooler bag compared to most out there, which I really like. Excellent design, functionality, and use of space. The main compartment (silver lined) can realistically hold ~20 standard sized cans with ice. The top storage (which I'm assuming is what the web description calls the second insulated compartment) is not really for cans, but maybe sandwiches or something. One thing that particularly stood out is the zippers, they self seal off. There are two neoprene type mesh cup holders on the sides, A front pocket with outside zipper, and inside one mesh pocket and two regular pockets. There is a key ring attachment on the front top and a removeable bottle opener on the side top. The bag has two padded, adjustable backpack straps and an ok carrying handle. This is a great size for day trips. It is also water resistant, wouldn't trust it for waterproof, especially with electronics. Pretty much the only thing Id change is the brand name being visible on the top, but that's just my personal preference. Still, I'm looking forward to taking this out on the river this summer. It's reasonably priced for what you get, and a great deal with the coupon when they have it. ... show more

What struck me first was the good construction and lightweight (less than 1.5 lb) of the Moon Lence Cooler Backpack. It has about 8mm thick foam insulation with a a white, waterproof PEVA liner inside to keep drinks and cold sandwiches cool in either ice or surround by cooling gel packs. The outside is an easy to clean nylon surface. In addition to the main compartment for cans and bottles with drinks it has three zippered compartments, one at the top for snacks, and two in front to hold cell phones, wallets, keys, napkins, etc. It was thoughtful to add a can opener tied to a strap that hangs on one side. There are mesh packets on either side to hold water bottles. When filled with cans and bottles of beverages surrounded by ice/cooling gel, tha bag would definitely become heavy and the adjustable shoulder straps are convenient to carry it along a hike or to carry it from the parking lot to a picnic spot. ... show more

Nice little cooler for a day hike, picnic, day at the beach, or whatever. It will hold a good amount of food and drinks. There are nice thick shoulder straps for carrying. It looks well sewn with no flaws. There are side pockets, a front pocket and a top pocket. Lots of places to carry items. Great item to spend time outdoors! ... show more
