The bolts need to be hand-tightened with a gentle turn using the provided wrench; overtightening could bend the metal, but once assembled, the rack is impressively stable. Although it’s designed to hold five bicycles, I found that three fit comfortably. To maximize space and avoid handlebar interference, it’s best to stagger the bikes—start from one side and alternate the direction each bike faces. This not only improves the fit but also balances the weight distribution, making the rack easier to roll around safely. The hooks are reliable, and the casters glide smoothly, which was a key factor in my decision. I needed something mobile to keep the area clean and organized, and this rack delivers perfectly. Overall, no complaints—great value for the sturdiness and mobility it offers.

This bike rack was easy to assemble and exactly what I was looking for to store multiple bikes in my small garage. I like that it's freestanding so there's no mounting required, but it comes with the risk of it tipping over if the weight isn't distributed well. Staggering bikes to make it fit can be tricky also, but at least it keeps the garage organized. I was able to fit 3 kids bike and one adult bike on this with some maneuvering.

I didn’t expect to love a bike rack, but the monTEK Freestanding Bike Storage Rack has earned its place in my garage. I’ve got five bikes and this rack holds them all without flinching. The vertical design is a game-changer for my garage flow, and the locking casters let me reposition the whole setup depending on season or mood. It’s heavy-duty without being clunky, and the helmet hooks feel like a nice addition to keep the inevitable bike clutter somewhat contained. Assembly was straightforward, and once it was up. There are many bike stands with a similar design and price range like this one. I tried a different brand at first and this one fixes the stability issues I had with the other one. I would definitely recommend this bike stand if your needs are to hang 4 bikes. You might be able to fit 5 bikes, but they would need to be smaller frames sizes to kid bike sizes. I have 2 medium and 2 large size frame bikes on they fit just right. The stand moves around nicely with the included wheels. If you don't need to move the stand around, you can use the included feet/knobs instead. The frame is sturdy however, be careful not to overtighten the bolts. You can potentially compress the pillars, thus bending them since the metal beams are not that thick. Overall, I'm satisfied with the functionality of the stand, but I'm giving it 4 stars because the metal could be a bit thicker.
