As with all the Montana West purses I own, the attention to detail on this bag gives it a high end feel and is indicative of a much more expensive bag. Negatives: Let's get the drawbacks out of the way first. 1. the zipper, though long enough and good quality, is attached in a way that leaves a space at each end, and the long end of the zipper will slip down inside the bag. This really doesn't effect anything except that if you're not mindful of what you're doing, when you want to hold the end to zip the bag, you'll have to fish it out. To clarify, this issue does not happen often, so for me it's doable, and I just try to be mindful when I use it that it doesn't slip down. 2. The open pockets are a bit shallow; even my old phone in it's case 6.5 x 3.25" sits up above the rim of the bag. I will be OK with setting my phone on it's side in the main part of the bag with my wallet, etc. Bag description Measurements: 11" tall x 16.5" wide (flattened) x 4.5" across bottom. Handle loop extends about 10.5" above top edge of purse. Piping, stitching and trim: I kid you not, the piping is perfectly aligned all the way around the bag. The stitching is incredibly neatly executed and the trim is straight and level. These features are usually a bit more, shall we say, sloppy and weak at this price-point. Materials: 1. This is a "vegan leather" shoulder bag; in other words, vinyl. The outside is purposely rigid so the bag stands upright; that is important for this style, and so far this bag is standing nicely on it's own. 2. The bottom is gusseted and folds to lie flat for storage. 3. The zipper in the top of the bag is the quality I have come to expect from Montana West. 4. The lining is the company's signature --- polyester beigy-tan "belts and chains" cloth. That's my name for the lining cloth. 5. The straps are slender vinyl "spaghetti straps". This is a stylish bag which should be quite durable. I am happy to add this purse to my collection and to recommend it to others with similar values.

It’s Montana West! They make good products. I have several of different style purses from them and they never disappoint. This bag is just the same. A good bag, well made with good materials. Now there aren’t a lot of pockets on the inside for keeping things organized. Which is fine for me. I got the bag to use for road trips. It allows me to put my wallet purse inside with some snacks, and few other items. I have used it with a purse organizer insert as well. Overall, I really like this bag/purse.

This bag, especially in the tri-color I picked, is lovely. I have a Montana West purse in beige and they look great together. I use this bag to carry my iPad Pro 12.9 to choir rehearsal along with some small items that come in handy like headphones/earbuds and loose sheet music. It works for this purpose just fine. My biggest complaint with this bag is that I'd prefer that it be just a bit bigger. What would be ideal for me would be that if I could put a purse and my iPad in it and have one thing to carry around. But I realize that would make for a much larger bag that would perhaps be unwieldy for some situations. Nevertheless, I do wish for just another inch or so of width to allow for putting a few other things in it along with my iPad. But I love this bag because it looks so good so I will certainly continue to use it.

I’ve known of the Montana West brand for a while, but this is my first tote bag from them. I am not disappointed! This bag is large, but the handle is at a great length to carry the tote bag comfortably. The leather is stiff, but I’m sure it will soften over time. The color is fantastic! It’s a rich teal, and it’s evenly color saturated throughout. The stitching is well done on both the outside and inside, and I’m sure this will last quite a long time. The inside is silky and beautiful. The zippers work well and stay closed while in use. The pockets are a bit shallow, but I prefer this so I’m not digging into a deep pocket to retrieve my item. I also like the attention to detail by adding the beautiful silk scarf to style my bag. Overall, this is beautiful, quality-made, and will hold all of my things easily. I recommend it!

Overall this is a decent bag, just not right for me. It does feel quite stiff, but I'm sure that would ease with use. The lining is a little noisy when you're rummaging around, and opening/closing the inside zipper pocket. The other 2 interior pockets are slip pockets. Those aren't very deep, and my iPhone 15 Pro wouldn't fit in the narrow one at all, nor the wider one which it just kept falling out of. My only choice for keeping my phone, other than tossing it loose into the bag, is the inside zippered pocket, which I personally don't find as convenient as an open slip pocket. The phone was kind of a tight fit even there, and left little room for anything else. The other problem I found with the slip pockets is that I couldn't even put a pair of eyeglasses in either one (and they weren't even in a case of any kind), without it being so close to the bag's top zipper that it made it difficult to zip shut. The slip pockets are just too shallow. The bag is fairly generous space-wise inside, but if you want to close the top for security then you obviously can't put as much into it. So if you were traveling with it and want to zip it closed to prevent things from accidentally falling out just be aware of that. The straps are long enough that it can be carried over your shoulder, though, tucked under your arm. There is a nice little decorative scarf that comes with it that can be tied around one of the straps, but that feels more like it would just get in the way. So, it's a decent bag depending on your needs, but far from perfect, at least for me.

I love this bag, the design is the perfect blend of classic and contemporary. The medium size is just right for carrying all my essentials without feeling too bulky. I use it for work, and all my files and computer remains secure. The top handle adds a touch of sophistication, making it suitable for both casual outings and more formal occasions. Sometimes I dress it up with a scarf to add a touch of chic.
