  • Quality for price (shocking) it performs!!!!
Color: Flat Dark Earth
Normally I stick with a higher end optic (preferably vortex and Leupold) but for the price and first focal plane option I was willing to give this a shot and see what all the rave was about. I chose the g2 instead of the g3 completely based on the reticle. Although they claim some nice changes have been made as far as quality in the g3. At first look the optic is fairly clear and robust. Adjustments on the elevation and windage are soft but still operational. The magnifying ring is smooth but firm witch i prefer. The coating on the optic itself isn’t the best but for the price it’s a no brainer and a sacrifice I’m willing to accept. I needed something to shoot at closer ranges but also fulfill a need for 300+ and this does it well. Wife field of view up close and crisp view at a distance. I’m actually pretty shocked with the quality I received for the price paid. I’m a firm believer in good glass and have no complaints of this product. I have heard of monstrum having amazing customer service which adds to the experience. Sight in was easy and zero has been maintained throughout plenty of field use. I put this on and 18” upper and it performs. Tracking it’s great and the reticle works wonders if you know your ballistic data. I’m thrilled and will be buying another. However I’m not 100% sold on other optics by monstrum and don’t know if I cant see them on a dedicated precision weapon (yet). I’d love to see more advertising from them. We need more budget options that hold quality to help others enter the shooting sports with ease. ... show more

  • Ok, I’m impressed.
Color: Flat Dark Earth
I didn’t expect this $200 scope to best my higher end Vortex and Burris scopes but it does. Fantastic quality and clearer glass and brighter image than all my other scopes. Insane.

  • Good quality for the money
Color: Black
Mounted this 1-6 scope on an AR and mounted nicely thought the objective lens sits very close to the receiver so ya cant use any backup sights. Lenses are clear and the reticle works well and the illuminated reticle is a better system than most. Less settings but they are of decent light and crispness. ... show more

  • Good scope
Color: Flat Dark Earth
Good LPVO overall. Clear sight picture with comfortable eye relief and pretty durable as well. If I were to have any complaints it would be the battery life mostly. Most optics you can leave on for months or even years at a medium brightness setting but this one lasts maybe a month tops. The windage adjustment knobs are not tactile and spin freely with the slightest bump. Had to put marks on the numbers it belongs to and put electrical tape to add some resistance to it. Those are my only 2 issues with the LPVO. So far it has stood up to cqb training with no flickering lights or any other malfunction due to continuous recoil from a 556 AR-15 so imo if it can keep up with that kind of torture, it can easily handle the average joe no problem who just likes to go to the range once a month. ... show more

  • This is a very good value
Color: Flat Dark Earth
I've used the cheap and the expensive and I'd never heard of Monstrum until a week ago and feel like $200 is the sweet spot for optics. spending double usually only gets you a small bump in a few metrics and roi only gets less as you spend more (unless you're trying to sling lead a really long way). So I was immediately interested in this optic for a .223 semi-auto. I can't speak to long term use, as I just got the scope mounted, but on it's face I think this is a great value in a rifle optic simply due to the list of "yep it's got that" features. Want a FFP reticle? Yep. Want it illuminated? Yep. Want both red and green illumination? yep. Want scope rings included? yep. Want flip-up dust covers included? Yep. Want clarity? Yep. Want a true 1x on the low end of the zoom range? yep. For it's intended use case I really can't see anything else at this price and on opening the box and mounting the scope I have no reason to think I'll ever regret this purchase. ... show more

  • nice but Not quite there.
Color: Black
I gave it a try because I like Monstrum product and I was hoping to get a great deal. First let me suggest to sell it with the option of whitch mount (Monstrum of course) will arrive with the optic, because the ring I received are not super stable or nice looking (at least for me). PLUS The scope by itself its well made and durable, nice coating, I really like the reticle and the fact that it's first focal plane. Illumination at 1x look like a really large red dot (it's a good things) CONS Between 4x to 6x the focus get blurry (as most of this 1-4/1-6 range of price optic) adn the eye relief it's pretty short, turrets and magnification are hard to twist and the turret specifically have a little play. OVERALL It's a legit 1-6x24 FFP scope with illuminated reticle that will work well for beginner, weekend plinker and people on a budget. Beeing in the 160$ range price though, there are few other options with bigger name (Truglo, Bushnell, Vortex, Athlon, etc) that have of course plus and cons too, but overall are slightly better. Love the brand but this specific scope did not satisfy me at the price it is. Eventually I'll try gen 3 of it and the alpha series because I Really want to prove that Monstrum it's really good brand ... show more

  • Used multiple times on a 5.56 rifle, has held zero and looks great. Certainly worth every penny.
Color: Black
No issues installing, reticle is clear, and the scope is well-built. Exceeded expectations.
