Installed these in the front of my lowered 16 ram 1500 with the 2/4 Belltech kit. After using the OEM shocks, rancho adjustable and the Belltech nitro shock (which are trash) I finally found a shock that rides and performs well and for the price it can't be beat. I've done about 500 since install and it's night and day. I just need to call Monroe now and find a shock that will work in the rear for my drop ... show more

Much improved ride for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. Due to the potholes in Tennessee, I am unsure how to rate these, otherwise on regular surfaces excellent ride. 4 1/2 rating. What shocks absorb potholes on a truck so you don't notice? I ran Gabriel for years and like these Monroes. Install easy. Do NOT cut that strap until one end is in place then get ready! ... show more

these went in smoothly. NO instructions were included in the box so you need to know what you are doing and be able to figure that out. keep you old nuts because you will need those. these were easy to install.

I bought these shocks to replace my existing that were gone. Yep they were Straightforward to install and hopefully work as they should, but only time will tell.

    • Missing Hardware Part - Poor Product Support

This is not a new problem or one of a kind. See the 3-star review titled "beware quality control" from another buyer who was missing the same part. I bought a pair of these shocks and paid $15.24 for 2-day shipping instead of waiting for the free shipping to get them when needed. When they arrived, one of the bags of hardware was missing a rubber bushing. Monroe's consumer web site had no listings for parts or contact. Their commercial web site had contact information, but no weekend support and no voice message support due to short staffing because of COVID-19. I had to leave a web site message and an email, but I lost the weekend installation time I paid extra shipping charges to get the parts in hand and on time. Wouldn't it have been nice if Monroe had effective quality control and simply managed to get two bushings in every parts bag? (They are the big black parts in the photo... hard to miss) Hey Monroe, how about refunding the speedy shipping charge I paid for that your defective quality control rendered useless? ... show more
