I haven't taken this chain off more than a couple times in about a year. The color held up through showers, saltwater and pools. I wear it with a stack of other chains. It's gotten tangled plenty of times and never broken. Also, my pendant is a little small and sometimes gets stuck by the clasp. I often have to pull it loose with a bit of force.
