  • Nice Bike
For the occasional young rider, this bike is great. The quality seems to be good. I bought it for my granddaughter. This is her first bike with gears and hand brakes. She is catching on to using them quickly. The only slight problem was that some tools, which were supposed to be included, were missing. I purchased this through the Amazon Warehouse. Although every item I have purchased through the Amazon Warehouse have been fine, this bike was returned by someone who didn't return all of the tools. Yet, I saved over $100.00. I guess the inconvenience that the missing tools created wasn't as bad since I save about 1/3 of the cost. The bike I bought is a light purple or lavender. The color is so pretty. We also got a basket for the bike. My granddaughter loves the whole package! ... show more

  • Amazon Warehouse is awesome, and so is this Bike
I pitchased this mongoose from the warehouse in damaged packaging, so i saved almost $150. i was a tony bit bummed because this package was supposed ro still containe all hardware and the assembly tools and there was a nut missing and no tools, but i had the stuff 8 needed in my bike tool kit. and i borrowed the nut from an old bike. it was pretty simple to assemble, just had to put on the front tire, handle bars, seat (which has a quick release nut ao that was super easy. with that assembly andbthen adjusting the brajes and putting air in the tires i think it took me about 45 minutes. i took it out for a ride and it runs great! omly thong i had to do was raise the sear a little more because i am 5 foot 3 and right at that cusp for riding a 24 or 26 inch this frame is 16.5 i believe whoch feels good for my shorter legs. ... show more

  • Almost 5 Stars
This bike is great, once I fixed it. They don't build them like they used to. The bike arrived and the handle bars were pointed downward, the brake handle was popped out, the brakes for the front wheel were so tight, you could not install the front tire without loosening them and when I did, the brake line cap at the end flew off and the whole brake line came apart. The rear brakes were so loose it wouldn't stop the wheel from spinning at all. Thankfully I am pretty handy and fixed it all but an hour and a half later! Now that it is fixed by me the bike is very nice, but it needs so many adjustments so if you are expecting an easy install be prepared! ... show more

  • This is an excellent bike.
Excellent Bike. Because of my 4hip replacement I’m unable to ride it. Never used the bike!! So I’m stuck with a new bike that is collecting dust!!

  • Great bike, easy to assemble
I bought this bike for my 9-year old daughter for Christmas. It looks great, was easy to assemble, and will likely last until she grows out of it. One small issue: the kick stand that comes assembled on the bike is a joke. It is angled toward the back of the bike so that the bike easily rolls forward and tips over. Tried adjusting the mechanism but could not fix it. I will probably try to bend it to be more perpendicular to the ground before I give in and buy a new one from somewhere else. Nutshell: the kickstand is aesthetically pleasing but engineering-challenged. Yet I am still giving this 5 stars. ... show more

  • Good bike for around the neighborhood
What can i say mildly built bike for a decent price. Purchased for my daughter as a first mountain bike. The manual could of been a little clearer on caliper assembly, but i got it figured out. The color is nice not too girly. Shifting seems to be harder than should be, not smooth at all. Having to wait for gear to change one at a time on the selector rather than being able to skip a few. As it is now the bike is lightly ridden and there is an occasional chain jumping off when riding. I wouldn't trust this thing on anything more then a dirt path. But does alright around the neighborhood. ... show more
