I would give this mattress 5 stars, my partner would give it 3, so I averaged it a 4. It comes compressed in a tall box and may take two people to move, but setup is painless once you have it inside. We set it up in our guest room and gave it 48 hours to expand fully and test it out. I am about 140 lbs and mostly sleep on my side, my partner is around 215 and sleeps on his back. I was pleased to find that I sunk into the mattress a little bit, it felt great on my hips (if I sleep on a firmer surface they can be sore when I wake up). He generally prefers something with a little more bounce and the slight sinking feeling that I loved bothered him a bit. We both noticed that we stayed cool through the night, we turn our thermostat up to 75 at night to conserve some energy and it can feel warm sometimes, but this was comfortable sleeping. Overall, as with any mattress, it all comes down to preferences, but especially with the price in mind I think this is great quality and makes for a great sleep. This mattress set up in seconds, though we did let it puff up for about 14 hours before making it and sleeping. It is very comfortable, more so than our last bed which was just a 12 inch memory foam. The only complaint is that it feels very sensitive to movement. It may be we are just used to the memory foam, but at one point I asked my husband why he was shaking the bed and it was really just him rolling over. But if you like a firm but soft mattress and don't mind a little movement, this mattress is for you! ... show more

The mattress was compressed flat, sealed in thin plastic, rolled with an wrapped in another layer of plastic. Albeit heavy, installation was easy. The step-by-step instructions seem to be printed in a 4-pt font, which is far too small. The rest of the materials (welcome; warrenty) are printed in a more normal size. The mattress puffed to full size quite quickly. They want me to give it 24-48 hours to fully puff; therefore I will not have slept on it for a few days yet. I laid down on the mattress momentarily; it's comfy. The listing says medium firmness, but it seems softer to me. I have no complaints. This mattress is wonderfully made and comes vacuum packed. I was shocked at how small it was when packaged, but when I opened the bag, the mattress grew huge quickly. This is a very rigid and firm mattress and it provides great support. I always test any mattress by kneeling on it, to see how strong the spring are, and this one has springs so strong it was pushing me off of the edge of the mattress. The springs are amazing and provide superb support, while the memory foam on top helps me fall asleep in no time at all. I would expect this mattress to be priced at 600 dollars or more based on the quality. The mattress is covered in an excellent quality breathable fabric. ... show more

This mattress is working great for me! It came in a long, heavy box. I took it out and let it expand and air out. I like that they sent a tool to tear/cut the plastic wrap that was on the mattress for shipping so the mattress itself didn't get cut. It was like they thought of everything! I put it on my box spring and it was so supportive especially to my back. It is higher than my old (standard, basic) mattress. I slept really well and didn't toss and turn like I usually do.
