Fits perfectly and works great as a stand. It's lightweight, so when the cover is folded up against the back, it's easy to hold and use. As a stand, it holds the ipad firmly. I thought the fit of this case was great. Cover finish was fine, though it did overlap the edge a bit when closed. The one real issue for me is the back case was way too slippery. If you set on anything other that a level surface, it will slide like ‘a sled on snow’… (I think for some reason many case makers have gone to this translucent back, which is basically like hard plastic.) This impacts grip as well. For me this was a significant enough issue that I decided to return it. ... show more

I previously owned a LifeProof case for my older iPad mini. LifeProof no longer makes an iPad mini case so when I recently purchased a new iPad, I purchased this case. It works exactly like the LifeProof case in that it stands the iPad up by forming a triangle stand with the case cover and closes and holds the shape with a magnet. However, unlike this case, the LifeProof case formed that triangle stand with the outside of the cover facing outward. If the stand is placed on a surface that is wet or dirty, the iPad itself stays clean when the cover is folded back over the glass because it was the outside of the case that came in contact with the contaminate. This case forms the stand with the inside of the case facing outward, leaving any dirt or grime to be carried into contact with the iPad glass when closed. Perhaps this was done intentionally to bypass a patent that LifeProof may have on their case, but if was unintentional, this design needs to be changed accordingly. It’s still a good case though. My old one started peeling at the corners [after many years so I have no real complaints about durability]. This one appears to be more solid, but (1) I don't like the hard back plate as much as the old fabric one [although I expect it will last longer], and (2) I have no need for the Apple logo to show through the back plate [but I can ignore it]. Tiny nits, and this is far less bulky than a couple of others I looked at, so I highly recommend it. ... show more
