I wish I could give this negative stars. I thought the strap between the legs would help. The floatability is horrible and I have as well let my child drown. Do not buy this product

My daughter is 14 months and about 23 pounds. I like this floatie because it fits her (very hard to find items under 30 lbs) BUT the foam for floating isn't strong like a life vest so adults still need full contact on child while swimming. CHILDREN STILL NEED FULL ADULT SUPERVISION. We also have a Coast Guard approved life jacket but she can't move well in the pool in it so we got this as an option. I do wish the float was stronger because if I'm not holding on to her she will roll face first into the water or on her back and then be stuck there. I recommend it as long as you know that this will not keep your child from drowning (vs a real life jacket/vest). She did feel very comfy in it and did not fuss when putting on or taking off. ... show more
