I have a small enclosed AV rack. It has a fan that flows out a grill at the top. I put a HVAC filter in the base, and these over the side grills and cable entry area. They do great with the magnet strips.

Not only are the holes small, but they are also spread far apart. I feel almost no air doing a simple blow test over my hand. Zoom into the image and look at the area of holes to the area of no-holes. I should have done that.

    • GREAT FOR CUSTOMIZING

Reminder: Be sure to measure anything you're about to cut-out and double-check it. Also, when cutting out the magnetic adhesive strips, be sure to account for the strip width for 2 sides (if you're cutting out a square/rectangle). I made the mistake of not doing this and had to cut off a bit each time. Originally got this to cover the vents on the side panels of my PC case (Thermaltake Core v1 for a miniITX), but I ended up upgrading my GPU to an MSI Radeon 6750 XT because of driver issues with my original GPU. If you check these parts in PCPartPicker, it will tell you these two are incompatible. (I initially did not use PCPartPicker until after I was finished with my build because I simply didn't know about it). However, I was able to install the GPU, by temporarily removing the backplate to fit it through the case. This caused a couple of problems, which prevented me from putting back the left-hand side panel and PCIe mounting bracket cover. This product helped resolve the missing side cover problem for me as well. Great! ... show more

In some of my builds I place the power supply with intake fan facing the case. I do this in situations where the computer will be sitting on the floor and therefore more dust picked up by power supply fan. In some computer cases, there's no protective shroud separating the PSU from motherboard which leaves the power supply facing the motherboard below the graphics card and therefore any work on the mother board which involves small screws when case is standing vertical puts the power supply at risk of having a screw falling in threw the fan grill. This mesh filter fits perfectly on most power supplies fan grills and protects the build from possible disaster of a screw falling into the power supply board. ... show more
