This is the best thing that happened to my living room. When we bought out house, it came with a clunky ceiling fan with lights on it. Our ceiling is kind of low so the fan was not helping. I was looking to change that with something nicer but sleeker. Looking into Amazon, when I saw this, couldn't believe the price and beauty. I’m renovating my laundry room and wanted to give it a fresh, modern aesthetic. I’ve been seeing these sputnik lights in stores like West Elm, and I love them so much. I didn’t need anything too big because my laundry room is long and narrow so I think this is a great size. I couldn’t decide what bulbs to put in it—globe or tubular. I happen to find some tubular Edison style bulbs, so I thought I would give them a try. I added a photo to show how a 5” tubular bulb (total length) looks, since the stock photos show it with globe bulbs (I think it would look even better with longer tubular bulbs if you were wanting to make the overall fixture larger). I’m very pleased with this light and can’t wait to install it! It was super easy to put together by myself (and I’m no pro at this). I think the trick is screwing the horizontal bars together first, then gently pulling the wires up a bit to screw in the vertical bar, then attach the inverted T to the base. Hope that makes sense. When I get it installed I’ll add an updated photo. Highly recommend! ... show more

I was a bit hesitant to get this light fixture, due to the low cost, but it surpasses my expectations. It is an attractive design. The six bulbs give out plenty of light even at 40 watt rated LED bulbs. Some assembly is required. The arms and stems need to be fastened to each other and then to the ceiling plate. It was well packed to eliminate pieces rubbing together during shipping. Care needs to be taken when unpacking so the riser tube does not slip off the wires. They are difficult to re-thread. (Don't ask me how I know this.) The wires seem a bit thin for standard bulbs but should be fine for LEDs. The mounting piece that attaches to the ceiling box is different from most modern light fixtures I have installed but it was very easy to attach. It is a straight bar that spans the light fixture. The screws that mount the light to the bracket were a bit difficult to line up that close to the ceiling but went in easily after they were lined up correctly. Overall a very nice looking light fixture at a crazy-low price. I love it! ... show more
