Over the covid season, many of us women probably missed going to the nail salon... I know I did! I decided to take this new found free time to learn how to do nails using youtube and tik tok tutorials. From reviews by longhairprettynails on youtube, she recommended Modelones as a good brand for nail products. Starting out, I was gluing nail tips to my real nails, filing the artificial nail flush to my regular nail, and then dipping the nail into the Dip containers. That worked pretty well, but I then switched to the Gel X system which I find is a lot more user friendly and less time filing. Its very important that you practice. Your first set might not turn out as great as maybe your 4th or 5th go. I notice every set I do, I get better. There is a reason why nail technicians go to school for this. There is an adherent risk to DIYing nails. You are more at risk to getting infections, etc from not having the education in nails. I recommend anyone getting into this to do EXTENSIVE research! Watch as many youtubers as you can. Susie with NailCareerEducation on youtube is a phenomenal resource, a trained technician with easy tutorials to follow. Pros: -easy to use -beginner friendly, as long as you watch youtube tutorials, and understand you won't be great right off the bat -vibrant colors that matched the pictures on the listing -longevity and durability of the dip nails as long as you ensure you've done the proper prep to the nails Cons -tubs are a little small if you want to do dip nails on extremely long nails -the activator and clear polish it comes with are decent, but I prefer to put a gel top coat over to ensure a more vivid shine

I got this set to start doing my own nails to save money. After a few YouTube tip videos I gave it a whirl. The first try turned out a little wonky but after that I got the hang of it and keep them done myself. Usually last 1-2 weeks. I've bought other brands of dip powder since but this is by far the best!

I was a little disappointed when I initially saw the size of each dip powder but for the price of this whole kit including 12 colors I think it was worth it considering the price of dip powder when you go to a nail salon. While using my non-dominate hand to paint the base and activator coats it was a little difficult & the nails aren’t as smooth as I’d like them to be but with practice I’m sure it will be easier. Overall, I think this was a great purchase!

It super easy to use once you get the hang of it, dries really fast so no incapacitation due to wet nails, I may be doin something wrong though because it chips and comes off pretty easily, although I am tough on my nails. Overalls I suggest buy at least the smaller pack and try them out.

I’m going to keep trying but am on my 3rd set in 2 weeks…. They keep popping off. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it’s just not that great.

The packaging isn't that great but I love the colors and the dip lasted practically two weeks without chipping! But I did use the Beetles base, top coat, and activator instead of the modelones liquids so that could be a reason why they lasted so long

I received my order today and was pleasantly surprised on how easy it was to use. This was my first attempt and I gotta say they look really nice. I will update review for longevity. I really loved the color, it's really shinny and smooth. I dipped 3 times. Honestly I'm in love 🥰
