For $8.99 kit with four colors and all the needs included to get started, sure worth that price point vs. $65- salon. I'm not a review person, so here it goes; hope you ladies get something good from this. Soft pillow powder felt nice! As I have thin nails natural that break off, I paired my Kit* with an $7.50- gelish purchase Gel nail extension from a local *Sally beauty supply. I trimmed the length down some as I have little hands, my Middle finger should be slightly smaller in width, next go around. But first try** Great results! Trial and error in anything. (use a gel) base and UV to cure those Gel extension will hold much better than " nail glue" alone. WOW $! :) Happy with the results overall, now I will begin looking at wish list items for future purchase of Modelones, I used Number 368- dip powder color in this kit. I am new to using dip powder. I tried to brands this one and The Beetles brand. I recommend this brand. It lasted much longer with no chipping, even after washing dishes and washing my car. I feel like it's much easier to file and get a smooth surface, with or without an electric drill. I just order more colors. Side note: This kit came with the base code and top coat separate and different bottles. The Beetles brand came with the base coat and top coat in the same bottle. I know that this brand does that as well. I have not tried their two in one base coat top coat. I don't know if that makes a difference with how fast it chips. Okay besties listen up. I’ve been getting my nails done at a salon for over a decade and I may never set foot in one again! It was quite time consuming to use this however I had to file off a previous acrylic set. I’m so impressed with how these turned out; sad to say these turned out better than many sets I’ve gotten at a salon before. (Mind you they’re a little patchy and uneven but not bad for my first time). If you’re someone that can’t be bothered to sit at a salon, waste 70 bucks to get nails you don’t like, and have the time to try this, do it! I just did them last night so I don’t know how long they’ll last, but I’m already thinking of more colors to order! ... show more

I love doing my nails but I’m an anxious nail picker so my nails are always tore up and I pick polish off after a few hours. I wanted to try this to see if it could help deter me from picking my nails and let them grow. I’d watched a million videos before I even ordered anything so when it came time to do it, it was actually pretty easy. The hardest part was ensuring I didn’t get any on my skin. My first attempt went ok, my second attempt went good and my third attempt went great. I even did my toes with this stuff. I’m a fan and I’ve already ordered more colors and sets. I’m not good at nails but I enjoy taking time to do them, since this takes less time to prep and dry polished nails I think this is my new go-to, I’ll never polish another nail with regular old nail polish. ... show more

First time doing dip, and tips, myself. The first dip I was really excited. The second dip, got a little more complicated. I cannot imagine doing a 3rd dip. Pics are with 2. I used clear, then white. I wanted to see if I could get a milky look. Don't do that lol. When i filled them, the white came off where I had to file a lot to shape, and it's kind of meh. This is my fault. If i had stuck with one of the other, the color would be much better. Now, the 2nd dip.... wow. That really builds up. I didn't want it that thick and I was cognizant of using a thin application of base coat. Had to do some pretty serious filing with my drill. Took about 3 hours, start to finish: polish off to polish dry. It's ok for beginners. You're going to have to practice. Don't expect them to look like a salon on the first try. However, I'm pleased with how they turned out. Certainly better than spending $80 at the salon. Longevity and polish change in a week will tell me if I will get this again. I have very thin weak nails so I hope it stays for awhile and polish changes are fairly easy. ... show more

The colors are beautiful. Easy application for a first time. 8/10. The smell of the activator is really strong and unpleasant. The actual powder is pretty small and kind of difficult to dip your nails in unless you have short nails. I’ve had them on for almost two weeks and no lifting yet. Overall the product was easy to use! I loved the fact that I did not need to use a lamp to get shiny results! The only thing I didn’t like is that in the description it says “low smell” it is not low! The base and top have a very strong smell it would make my eyes water.
