25 years ago my mother purchased this Cutco spatula for me and I have loved it and used it for many different things. Spreading icing on cakes, cutting homemade pies to spreading mayo and mustard on sandwiches, etc. etc. etc.; it is a most valuable kitchen tool. This is a useful kitchen tool. The serrated knife edge combined with the rounded spatula shape make it convenient for cutting into foods that then need to be served or moved to another container. It works well with items that are semi-frozen. I haven't used it much for spreading, but I can see the potential. Even so, I consider it overpriced. The white "pearl" handle has a cheap look, and the flexibility of the blade always makes me feel as though it might break when I'm cutting something tough.
