Description

Mobil 1 motorcycle oils are specifically formulated to help keep motorcycle engines in peak condition for maximum power and long life. Two specially engineered formulas deliver maximum levels of protection, even in extreme riding conditions. These specific formulations are designed to help prolong the life of vital engine parts and transmissions for cruisers and sport bikes. Mobil 1 Racing 4T is for use in on-road, off-road and competition four-stroke motorcycles. Its unique formulation is engineered to help provide high output by helping keep engines clean, optimized for high-temperature durability during long rides or short races and designed for superb engine, clutch and transmission protection. See Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 Motorcycle Oil formulated for Cruisers. Motor oil is made from crude oil and is used to lubricate, clean, and cool engines. Types of motor oil include conventional, synthetic, diesel, bio-based, hybrid (blends of conventional and synthetic), and recycled oils. Motor oil varies in weight and viscosity, as well as additives that some manufacturers add to the oil during the refining process. A numerical code system created by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) grades motor oils according to viscosity--the higher the number between 0 and 60, the more viscous (thicker) the oil is. Most consumer motor oils are graded by two numbers, with the first number indicating cold weather (Winter or "W") performance.SAE 10W-40This oil has a weight of SAE 10W-40, meaning it has an SAE viscosity rating of 10 in cold temperatures and a rating of 40 at normal operating temperature. Always check your vehicle's owner's manual to verify that this is the correct weight of motor oil for your vehicle.Conventional Motor OilThis oil is a conventional motor oil, meaning it is refined from crude oil or petroleum products. Conventional motor oils may or may not have additives included after refining. Conventional motor oils are more versatile than synthetic or hybrid motor oils, because they are suitable for use with nearly all types of modern vehicle engines, from cars and trucks to motorcycles, ATVs, farm equipment, and more.Racing OilRacing oils are designed for track cars and other types of high-compression vehicles intended for motorsports competition. They contain particular additives for increased engine horsepower and reduced friction on metal parts, and provide special protection for engines with high compression or higher horsepower. Racing oils usually include fewer detergents than regular conventional motor oils. Please note that many, if not all, oils labelled as racing oils are not street legal, and it is not recommended to put racing oil in a conventional passenger vehicle. Make sure to double-check the product label as well as the specifications of your vehicle to ensure proper usage.

  • Good for Racing
This is great oil for high rpm riding and racing, but it is NOT for daily street use.. the oil broke down fairly quickly for what u would expect.. i would not leave this in my motorcycle past 600 miles, you can definitely feel the friction on metal components once oil is going bad .. switched to Royal Purple w/o flushing and its been great since ... show more

  • Good oil good price.. might be cheaper at Walmart..
You could get this cheaper at Walmart, which is where I started buying it at after this purchase. Walmart tends to stock these same containers that are closer to expiry date but has enough time to use it for a couple of years. And I sold at Walmart for under $10 each in store..

  • Not much to say, its Mobil 1
Tried and true brand. The oil is expensive, but if you want to go cheap there are other options. In total it ran me about $50 for an oil change on my Vulcan, and I'll have oil leftover for the next change. Motorcycle ran very smooth after the change.

  • Have used in my Can-Am Spyder engines for 115,000 miles
The 10 Wt. is hard turning over in cold weather, over 5 Wt. other wise, OK.

  • Cant go wrong with Mobile One
Use every time in my Honda 750. Engine runs good as new and I am sure it help keep the insides lubed and clean.

  • Top of the line oil for motorcycle wet clutch applications!
This full synthetic oil is the best oil I've ever used. The engine is completely clean after tens of thousands of miles when doing regular oil changes at 10,000 mile intervals. This oil is wet clutch safe for motorcycle applications.

  • Very pleased
I did a bunch of testing to find THE oil that made the feel of my cop bikes' clutch perfect for the close quarters low speed riding I do on them. That turned out to be M1 20W50. I bought this stuff for my CB1100 grocery getter as a best starting point again for clutch feel. I'd have gone to the 20/50 if I needed to but this stuff felt great and I've never once come back from a ride and measured a cylinder temp out of the ordinary, even on the hottest days. ... show more

  • Works fine
This oil works fine, but I have no idea how long it lasts. Due to health problems, I only ride my cycle about 150 miles a year. I replace the oil every year. It did not save the check valve in my cycle from failing. Now I have a big job finding replacement parts and doing the repair.
