I've been wanting to get my friend a Bar Set ever since she and her husband bought a place last year, and since they entertain quite frequently with their at-home mini bar, this seemed like a perfect gift for them. I was on the hunt for a nice bar set for a while before deciding to purchase this one. Other than the attractive look of this particular set (the wooden base, ss tools, and cocktail menu), I realllllllly liked the bonus bar mat which solidified my choice to buy this one, even though, there was another one which had a rounded/curved wooden base which I thought was pretty nice. However, I'm glad I got this one because I think the mat really elevates the entire set by making it not only truly very useful and practical, but making it feel like an official bar. I can't wait to give this to her and see what she thinks as she puts it to good use in her home's watering hole. I should mention, this bar set is priced competitively -- somewhere in the middle of the pack from the many options found here on Amazon -- but with the bonus bar mat, and the nice box that the set comes in (attractive art/graphic), this one is a winner. I communicated with the seller as she reached out to me to ensure my package arrived and that level of personal touch was truly special. I am absolutely in love with this bartending set. I am an actual bartender, but I wanted this set for my bar at home. All the pieces seem to be of decent, mid range quality. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. I do not like how fingerprints are easily left behind on the shaker, or how the cap for the shaker (piece on top of lid), seems to feel more pressurized and come off more easily than I am used to with professional shakers. The bar mat was much larger than expected, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I personally don't like the muddler's shape. It is just too chunky for me. My favorite part of this set is the wood holder for the sets pieces. I absolutely love the way it looks. Everything has a place and it looks so organized. The box everything came in was also very nice as well. The recipe book could use some work. All in all, I think this is a great addition to any at home bar. It can turn the simplest spaces into a bar, and it all comes in one box. I think the price is fair for all that you get, even if I will never use some of the pieces, like the tongs, or the pourers (because seriously, I need more than two and it would also mess with the visual effect of everything having a place). ... show more

Got this set for my boyfriend so he could make drinks for the family on thanksgiving. He’s been having so much fun with it! The little bar mat that comes with the set is the perfect size for a small home bar.

Pretty awesome bar set! Comes with a variety of tools to make an awesome drink. The little recipe book that comes with it has some great starter drinks, if you’re a heavy drinker lol..I’m not so no gin for me but, margaritas and vodka made cosmos are my fav. I’ve tried a few drinks from the book and they tasted okay but, again lots are made with gin and runs. Honestly you can google any recipe in seconds. The bottle toppers are fun, makes it feel like you’re working at the bar lol. Google shot counts and some of the videos are pretty awesome to try.. The shaker is very durable, gets pretty darn cold within a few shakes! Stays cold for the remainder of your pours. The mat is sturdy and will probably outlast my liquor bottles for sure haha. Pros - Great deal - No rusting with over 1 year of use (I only hand-washed) - No issues with leaking when mixing drinks - Easy to use and clean - Includes useful accessories Cons - The spoon has a flat bottom so it's able to stand up in the wooden base but it doesn't stay well and it knocks over very easily - The tongs seem cheap and they don't work well so I never use them ... show more

I was impressed with everything! The packaging is beautiful, every piece is beautiful and everything has a home. The display makes everything easy to use and find. It even comes with a recipe book. I bought this for my brother-in-law for when he bartends at our family parties. I hope he loves it as much as I do! It really makes you feel like you're a professional bartender. I really miss my bartenders and my restaurant. We were all let go because of the coronavirus. I'm excited and looking forward to making memories at home. Tanya made sure I received it in perfect condition. I love when people follow up and show they care. I always want to support wonderful people. ... show more

I gave this as a gift to someone close. They use it ever-so-often. They’ve not had any issues with the shaker lid, the rubber mat is nice, and it’s got the basic essentials without being too flashy. The stand works well to hold all the materials

    • it's ok. You get what you pay for.
If a good quality product is what you are looking for then spend a little more on something else. This one is ok, the shaker (the main thing I was buying) Isn't that great. It leaked the first couple times I used it. Then if you close it really tight (so it doesn't leak) then it is REALLY hard to open up. The mat is really nice. Great quality and it will be with me much longer than the shaker. The wood base is really useless. Hard to keep the items in it without them falling over (stirring spoon, muddle) It looks nice but isn't practical. The stirring spoon is great, and the jigger has labels on the inside making half oz etc... making it easy to make accurate measurements. I'll keeps most of it, but I'd get a new shaker. The shaker does not fit with a glass, you pretty much have to use the lid that it comes with. The Hawthorne strainer is nice as well. ... show more
