I bought this smoker after seeing it used in Vegas for a bourbon I ordered, it’s great! Came home and immediately ordered it for $279 before tax, total $301… 2 months later I see it in Costco for $189 :(

I bought this smoking box as a Christmas gift for my husband. BC (before Covid) we ate dinner out quite a bit, and our favorite restaurant offered Old Fashioneds with the fancy smoked flavor. So now it's easy to have this at home! I can't think of anything I'd change, other than the finish. If it came in bronze it would match our bar. But it's easy to set up, easy to use. I do like the smell downstairs in the bar when it's used. Can't wait to offer smoked drinks to guests some day again. And it does take just a little bit of the smoking chips each time. I haven't tried smoking foods with it yet, I'd like to try it with cheese. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Former bartender here. I got the exact model that the bar had after having a cocktail with my husband. Unfortunately, the original gun arrived with sharp chipping plastic on the sides of the gun. It appears as though the handle may have been screwed on too tight to the metal portion which has frayed the plastic. Okay, no big deal, I’ll swap it out for a replacement… The replacement gun was worse than the original. This is not a cheaply priced item. But it is a cheaply built one. At least the gun is. The only reason it gets two stars is because the glass case is exquisitely built and completely functional. This was an anniversary present. And I can’t justify keeping a broken (and potentially dangerous) product it for this insane price. ... show more

Love my smoking kit. does not take much of flame to get it started. Provides a lot of smoke or as little as you want. I use it mainly for smoked old fashioned' s , but have added a few cuts of beef on a plate to get a smoky flavor

    • Gun stops working after about 5 uses!! Don’t buy!!

Gun stopped working after about 5 uses and after reading other reviews this seems to be an issue with this product... with the price of this, the gun should be better quality. I would not recommend due to poor quality of the most important part of this product.

I gifted this after seeing and experiencing it with an Old Fashioned at Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas. I also purchased the box of the 8 or 10 other flavors. I've found that it works best in a mixed cocktail like an Old Fashioned rather than just bourbon or whiskey on the rocks. The other ingredients in the drink seem to grab the smoke flavor better. I would recommend using it outside as it gets VERY smokey. I learned the hard way. I recommend purchasing it. ... show more
