I am male and have always used the hair scissors I get from pharmacy or dept. store for @ $10.00. to cut my own hair. I am not a professional hair stylist, but have been cutting my own hair for 4 decades and when I got these I told myself I should have done this 30 years ago. They are SHARP (watch your ears, ouch) I used to sharpen my old scissors Each time I used them - no more. These never Hang on a cut, even when I bunch the hair together and it makes no diff if hair is wet or dry. I can't say enough good about these.
