So I bought this aluminum outlet to replace a broken plastic coolant outlet since it’s very common for them to break.. I am really satisfied with this design so far and it installed very easily. Just one issue with it though. Do NOT take off the small plastic piece that is on top of the outlet and replace with your own hose’s adapter (Dorman, etc) it will leak from the top since it won’t properly seal anymore once under pressure. I had to get a replacement outlet since that piece couldn’t be reused because the seal broke. Instead get GM hose part number 13251447. The hose will clip on and it will not leak since it’s properly sealed. Otherwise no issues, had it for a few days now and will update if anything happens! 1.4L Cruze Edit 5/2023: No longer have the car anymore because of other problems, but there’s been zero coolant leaks since I installed it (at least from the outlet) To anyone reading this do NOT buy the plastic version of this part you would just be wasting your money. The aluminum design will stop that leak for good since it’s way stronger than the plastic. But I would recommend finding a version of this outlet that has a metal hose adapter instead of plastic since this seems like a common failure point on this outlet. ... show more

Had a slight problem with the overflow hose. Just had to replace a oring. Fit good and works for now. Have 4 stars since I've not had it long enough to say it's durable yet

Product fit perfectly and was pretty easy to install if you are mechanically inclined and have the right tools. I had no problems with the included thermostat temp gauge. Should hold up longer than the car will!

I replaced the stock housing because it was cracked and leaking. This one shouldn’t ever crack since it’s metal. I used the gasket it came with and so far no leaks. There is an small o-ring on the tip of the return hose that needs to be replaced and this does not come with it. I don’t think any of them do. It does come with the big o-ring on the part that takes the metal clip. Took about half a gallon of dexcool coolant to refill the reservoir. ... show more
