Does the Mito Red Original Series 2.0 have a timer and different treatment modes? Yes. The panel includes a built-in digital timer that allows sessions from 1–20 minutes. You can select Red light (660nm), Near-Infrared light (850nm), or both simultaneously to customize your session depending on your wellness goals. • The best of the best for full body treatments
Size: MitoMAX 2.0
This is beyond impressive for a red light therapy device. I feel like this is medical grade but for home use. It’s easy to use and very convenient. This device easily allows me to do full body treatments in one session which saves me a lot of time. I regularly use multiple styles of devices such as a body wrap belts, masks, flash light, and desk top panels but they only cover small areas. So far this has the best and strongest Near Infrared Light I’ve come across. The light is incredibly bright and can fill a large room. Even with the goggles or glasses on this is strong. Due to the intensity of the light, I recommend making sure no one else is in the room. I even make sure my pets are not in proximity while using this so that their eyes don’t get irritated or damaged. The moment you turn it on you can feel the heat radiating off of it. It’s not hot nor is it hazardous. It’s just warm enough to make you feel sleepy after sitting in front of it for 20mins. ... show more

  • Great device! - MitoMAX 2.0
Size: MitoMAX 2.0
TL;DR Device is great, but there are good devices that are a lot cheaper, so if this is really expensive for you, maybe get a cheaper and smaller panel instead. ------ So, I've tested around 70 various red light devices (flashlights, panels, belts, bulbs, handheld.....), from $25 to over $200... this is by far the biggest and most expensive.... and it's the best I've used. I will say, if you can't afford this ($750 is a LOT of money!) there's some good smaller panels for around $100 that work well too. So, I'm not sure if this is worth $650 more than one of those, but it is definitely a higher quality. It came with blackout goggles and a pair of green glasses. I'm not sure how good those work for blocking infrared, but they do help with the brightness. You should be careful, as there is a chance the brightness could cause eye issues, and infrared also has potential to damage your eyes (mainly through long-term exposure, I believe, but I don't want to risk it - I'm the only person in my family that doesn't need strong glasses!) Turning on this device the first time, I could almost immediately feel warmth from the light on my skin, which seems a little faster than usual (especially some weaker devices, which don't seem to produce any warming effect). I don't mean that the device gets hot, it just feels warm on the skin. It is NOT silent, because of the fans, but it isn't loud and I've been happy to listen to an audiobook while I sit for a session. I really like that there's a timer on the device itself. A few of mine have timers, but many don't - and I've always preferred the ones that have timed options. If you want to verify that the infrared light is on and working, take a picture with your phone - if they have a faint purple glow, they're on. You can't see them, infrared is invisible to the human eye, but cameras can often pick up a bit of a purple glow. This is now my main device, although I do still use a handheld one for when I can't use the big one. I've used red light for a bit over a year now, and it has been a huge help for my wrist pain. In fact, unless I forget to use red light for a few days, I pretty much have no pain anymore and it's been great. It is a little bit of an odd size, because I don't have anywhere that can really hang something so heavy in my little apartment. Other panels I have weigh a LOT less (and most don't have fans) so I haven't had this problem before. I do have it clipped to a metal shelving unit, but that's just to prevent it tipping over if my cat knocks it when I'm not there - it could definitely hurt a pet if it falls on them. Potentially I think I might put it on a stool or something to elevate it a bit and see how that works for just standing. As it is, if I stand, while it's standing on the ground, the light doesn't reach my upper chest or face, but if I sit on a chair, it isn't able to get my upper legs as well and my knees are much closer than the rest of me to the light. If I sit on the floor, then there's wasted lights at the top of the panel that's not hitting me at all. I've settled for splitting a session - standing for half, sitting for half. If you use retinol, apply it AFTER a red light session, not before, because it can cause light sensitivity. I'm sure there's other skincare products that do too, so it's a good idea to just check to make sure. Red light therapy is not recommended for people who take meds that cause photosensitivity. If you have any medical conditions or take any medications, I would just double check with your doctor to make sure it's okay for you to use before ordering an expensive panel like this one. The manual says it can cause issues with bleeding (takes longer to stop, I believe), which could be serious if you already have a related problem. It has the potential to cause damage to tattoos (apparently, according to the manual, red ink is especially sensitive to red light and will fade). I've looked for people's experiences on reddit, and someone said they've used red light (not specified what device) daily for four years on their back and their back tattoo doesn't seem affected, but they did say it feels warmer under the red light than non-tattooed skin, and just not to get a tattoo too close to the light. Someone else said red light was helping with ink loss (so, more ink loss than before) during laser treatments to remove the tattoo, but I think it's possible that's because it was helping them heal faster after laser treatments and the red light just made the laser process work better that way, not the red light fading the ink itself. Basically, if you have tattoos, just go forward at your own risk. Apparently you can cover them up with fabric or gauze if you'd like to still use red light (and don't have too many), so that's an option. One thing I prefer about a different device over this, is that the other one has actual switches for red and infrared light - not a screen or touch buttons. It's not a big complaint, and definitely not enough to stop me from using this one as my main device, but the switches on that smaller, cheaper panel are my favorite to use out of all the devices I've tried. Besides that, I have no complaints at all. It was packaged very nicely and securely, and everything arrived in perfect condition. The device itself feels high quality and should last a long time. Of course, as always, I will be back to update this review if my opinion on it changes in the future. ... show more

  • High-end Red light therapy
Size: MitoMAX 2.0
Since I got hooked on red light therapy years ago, I have been using various red light products - belt, stand, hanging, for the face, for the body, etc, etc. I have to say this product is by far the best (and the most expensive) I have ever used. Like other therapy lights, this one has red light as well as near-infrared light. Does this product have better light coverage and a better frame? Yes. But from an average consumer point of view, what makes this product really stand out is its overheating prevention. When I was using other products, because of those heated lights, all units got overheated like crazy without exception. The belt type was the worst because it touched my skin. And they lasted only a few months. This product has a fan that keeps the lights cool which helps it last longer. And the noise is not bothering me. I feel a little uncomfortable with the price but considering how many therapy belts that died on me for the last couple of years, I would still choose this product over others. ... show more

  • Wow!!!
Size: MitoMAX 2.0
Over the last few months, I've acquired quite a few red light items. Belts, wraps, panels for hanging, panels on stands, handheld, and on and on... I have found that red light helps me with pain, the jury is still out on other benefits, such as effects on skin, as that takes more time to notice. All have worked as intended, but compared to this panel, they seem like toys. The words 'Beast' and 'Tank' come to mind. This is definitely the commercial version of red light panels. The difference in intensity is huge. Noticeable heat from lights, yet the fans keep the unit cool. Lights are super bright, hard to look at even with green glasses. After using this for a couple of months, I should be able to tell if red light is going to improve skin health and look. Will update with the results. ... show more
