I've been using this protractor since I got it to cut angles on wood when I'm working on wood projects or moldings and it looks great does a good job and it's pretty sturdy.

This is a great tool. I could use the miter saw protractor to measure every angle I need to know and get an accurate answer for crown moulding. Moreover, I could use the legs of the protractor angle finder as a ruler for measuring. This is a surprise to me! I like how the trig jig angle finder can be re-zeroed at any angle, easily locked in place, switched to reverse angle and turns off automatically. It is a great replacement for starrett miter protractor. It is very accurate and functional. The miter saw gauge serves as a good assistant at work that help me a lot.     • too sloppy to be of any use
Bought this mainly to find inside angles for cutting baseboard. Between the springy plastic arms and the "springback" in the center hub, you can't just push it into a corner nice and tight and pull it away for an accurate reading. The ~2° slop that it has makes it useless for my purpose. Or any purpose that I can think of. ... show more

Easy to use is an understatement. This thing makes finding angles an absolute breeze. We had several walls with outside angles on them. Placed this against the wall arrow points right to the degree took it to the saw cut the angle and boom done! Saved a lot of waste and guess work which translates to time. Who does need more time?
