In racing, Rule One is never assume anything. In life, Rule One is Caveat Emptor. As a decades-long buyer, installer and user of Misihmoto products, my first reaction was disappointment followed by anger. White object in photos is a ceramic magnet from an old IBM HDD. Ceramic magnets are an infallible and repeatable standard for sorting real SS (ASTM 316) from the wannabe crap such as 303 or 304. Photo #2 is magnet suspended from inside of clamp shell. Photo #3 is magnet attached to locknut. Black object is 2" OD Kevlar-reinforced charge-air connector. I returned these pieces of crap. Then Amazon-purchased and tested four standards-compliant, stainless steel, T-bolt clamps. Two examples of many HPS, ASTM 316 stainless clamps worthy of your consideration: 316-SSC-44-51: 44-51mm/1.73-2.00 inches ID (~SAE Size 28). https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B009AG12F2/ and 316-SSC-51-59: 51- 59mm/2.0-2.32 inches ID (~SAE Size 36). https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07PWB469C/ IMHO: No longer lean and hungry; seeking mind-share, name recognition, and passionate about quality above all, Mishimoto has now become the one thing they feared becoming. Now too-successful, MM lost their core values of quality and customer focus. Today MM is just another fat and greedy enterprise having only name recognition and a fast-declining reputation. That is a damned shame. MM has lost my decades-long trust. Starting with MM radiator caps, I must now test every damn Misihmoto "SS" object on my vehicles. Next will examine welds on intercoolers and radiators. No joy here... Cannot wait to read their dissembles.

Keep moving. These are not the t-bolt clamps you are looking for. Seriously though, unless you're driving a Civic and these are just for bling..don't. Save your money. Squirelly, HPS, etc etc etc...so much better. The main reason these are so terrible is the spring. It compresses and then does not return to it's original shape. So every time it is compressed and uncompressed (ie: working on your car, taking off pipes for upgrades, etc.) the spring then requires you to torque down the clamp even tighter the next time. Eventually (3-4 times..max for me) the clamp has to be compressed until the spring is fully compressed just to hold boost. I was left stranded by these $10+ dollar clamps while the $1 worm clamps it replaced are still working fully reliably now that these Mishimoto trash clamps are sitting on a shelf. I read the negative reviews and thought it can't be that bad. It is. I wasted $30 on these... don't make the same mistake.

I had been using normal automotive (screw-type) hose-clamps, connecting each end of an "L" joint rubber hose (~2.75" diameter) to -- respectively, a submersible pump and a fountain (built in to my back yard). But I could not get these old hose clamps tight enough, so the rubber hose would slip off due to the pressure of the pumped water. I had that same problem with these clamps at first. But then I used three small sheet metal screws, and screwed them into the black plastic pipe at either side of the hose (6 screws total), to provide a rough surface for the rubber hose to grab on to. Then I used these new T-Bolt clamps, and they have worked like a charm.

Tension T-Bolt Clamp. 3inch. When turning the 10mm nut Seems like it tightens right away. Anybody who uses a torque wrench will understand what I mean. Then my ss pipe slide out of the pvc hose..hmmm. that is why I bought this because my worm gear is doing the same thing..while it was separated i found I could twisted the tbolt clamp and it rotated. Wasnt on as tight as it appeared.. Put it back together and kept tightening. Seems to work. This is between the turbo and tbi housing..upto 19psi.

Looks great, great idea. But good intentions don't make this a good clamp. I'm using two of these to secure a pipe coupler from my intercooler to the upper intercooler pipe. So far, if you tighten the clamp down tight enough that you can't budge the pipe or move the clamp, what feels the same as with a well tightened cheap worm clamp, the coupler will walk off the pipe under boost still. If I tighten it just a few turns tighter.. It begins to buckle the pipe or dent it where the two pieces of the clamp meet and are covered by the thicker metal piece. So either it won't stay on and hold boost, or it's so tight it damages the pipe. And it's not cheap pipe, I have a K&n typhoon intake. These clamps are so far not even able to deliver the same quality of performance that a $1 worm clamp will provide. Update: Had these on a week now more or less. Have had to stop and replace pipes popped off the charge pipe twice now on the side of the road. The springs look heavy duty but immediately compress in size the first time you tighten the clamp. So each time you loosen or re-use the clamp the amount of tension applied reduces. At this point, after taking off and putting on this clamp a few times...I have to tighten the clamp down until the spring is fully compressed (ie: pointless now, as it cannot expand to allow thermal expansion to happen as intended) in order for the clamp to remain tight enough to handle normal boost pressures (26lbs of boost). Reducing the review to 1 star, these aren't worth the metal they're made of.

Installing on my Porsche intake. Only time will tell how well they'll hold. I read some of the reviews on the clamp may slip off with a car's vibration making it easy for it to slide off, no matter how tight you tighten it. Every car is different some might vibrate more than others but it's Always a good idea to use a tubing beader tool... if possible, this will make your life easier not having to worry about the tubing sliding off while driving. Will update on how T-clamps hold up in later future.
