  • Super Nice!!
2017 JKU ... Direct fit . First thing's first.. This radiator is sexy af.. the welds look like perfection and the overall quality of this thing is excellent. With that said,, only time will tell, so if I have any issues from this point forward, I will update my review. The install from start to finish was about 1.5 hour. I was not in any hurry and took my time to do everything properly. I used a youtube video as a guide but it was all pretty straight forward except for one of the hidden bolts that the video was great on showing me. If your bumper is completely stock (mine is not) this may take you a little longer due to all the plastic clips and crap from the factory... Over all this is a very average install and anyone with some mechanical ability should be able to do it. I hated paying this much for a radiator, but I was on my second replacement in 2 years, so I had to do something different. Hoping this V2 holds up better than the original that i see so many reviews on. I'll keep you all posted ... show more

  • Good
Works well. Been using for 6 months. I was learning on this one so I messed with it a lot which was a mistake. The radiator cap fits TIGHT when new but the neck gets kind of filed down after removing it many times. I’m sure there are alternative caps more like OEM style but the one I ordered was much too large for this radiator. Haven’t really bothered to try another. ... show more

  • Solved my running hot issues
Over the winter, I upgraded to thirty sevens and 4.88 In my JK And everything was good, but as the warmer weather started to get here. I noticed my temperature gauge higher than normal So I started throwing parts at it New thermostat New hose's new water pump New fan Even ran without thermostat for a few months as they had me convinced online that it wouldn't run right without factory Tstat Well, I finally got one and still had the problem. I've come to the conclusion, that after I've added all this extra weight. Bumpers, rims, tires, and then the gear that it's just too much for the factory radiator to handle under hot conditions. I put this radiator in factory thermostat and everything's back to normal Take it out on the highway on the hottest day. And the needle doesn't budge off halfway πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ ... show more

  • Only real all metal radiator option for the JK
After I (my fault) accidentally cracked my 3rd radiator on my 2015 JK, I decided to bite the bullet and go to an all metal radiator. The core is ~25% thicker than stock, so the radiator top cover will probably not fit without a bit of "massaging". The weldments for mounting the AC condenser are threaded metal, so you use the supplied bolts instead of self-tapping screws like the OEM style replacement radiators. The side weldments are SLIGHTLY different than stock location, so the brackets for the AC lines that run around the driver's side of the radiator will need to be massaged into position. But nothing that isn't needed on pretty much ANY replacement radiator. So far, solid as a rock, and I'm hopeing it's the last radiator I need to buy for my JK. ... show more

  • Several holes dont line up!
I watched the video install for my jeep on mishimotos website and they didnt address a lateral nut that holds the a/c condenser onto the radiator. probably because the hole will not line up with the radiator. Nor did they show you need to take out the headlight to gain access to the bolt. They also didnt show how the plastic covering that protects you on top of the radiator from getting burned by the radiator no longer fits properly because the new radiator sticks out much further than the original radiator. It looks tacky and like I dont care about my workmanship, but nothing could be further from the truth. I am concerned over the long haul that the a/c condenser instability may cause a strain on the lines bc its not secure to the radiator like the factory radiator was. We will see, but like I said im not thrilled about the outcome and workmanship due to faulty design. ... show more

  • Easy install. Quality radiator (so far)
Quality and finish are top tier. Welds appear perfect. Fit is great and straightforward after you use a step bit to HOG OUT THE AC CONDENSER HOLES. Do this before you start putting it in. Easy peasy. Mine would have never fit if i did not do this. 2014 wrangler is new to me and i dont know the history. My jeep could be tweaked a little.. or hole fitment was the radiator? Really easy job though. Definitely not an oil cooler haha ... show more

  • It's leaking...
I've been smelling coolant for a few weeks, took a look the other day and couldn't see anything apparent. Just hung new front brakes and a steering stabilizer on this afternoon, and now I see the leak. It looks like the leak is probably coming from the tank up toward the radiator cap. Will be tearing it down tomorrow to see where the issue is. I'll be interested to see how Mishimoto handles the warranty on this, and I'll update after I get it worked out. ... show more
