My son has sensory issues and is very particular about shoes. I ordered about 5 different hiking shoes/boots for him to try on. He was a big fan of these boots over the more well known name brands. These boots are very flexible and lightweight. To him they almost felt like a sneaker. Waterproof, perfect for walking through the morning dew, and easy to clean.

These boots work well. However, it is a pain to use the 2 velcro strips on every shoe every time your toddler puts on the shoes (to takes them off). I would not bother with this design again and would buy shoes that the foot can just slip in instead.
