Good little shoe for my kid for a hiking family vacation. To be safe, I ordered a size larger because some of these hiking shoes fit snug, and it worked well for us. The cost was great for a shoe that my kid will only wear for a short bit and then grow out of. Shoes lasted through a weeklong trip with lots of walking and various terrains of hiking (rocks, hills, etc). My kid said they were comfy too! ... show more

I wanted to love these for my 7 year old. The color is so fun. They definitely are on the wide side. The velcro strap has enough hook and loop area to allow us to cinch it down enough for them to stay on his feet, but the elastic "laces" are very loose and the edge of the tongue keeps poking out through them (though this is also probably due to the shoes being pretty wide for his foot, so there's some room for the tongue to wiggle around). *Photos after 6 months of wear* We have purchased a couple pair of these shoes. My son tends to ruin the toe of sneakers. The rubber toe on these has saved me a lot of money. These shoes lasted him months until he outgrew them instead of wearing them out. The laces are great since he is young and still learning how to tie his shoes. They stay snug so they don’t need readjusting through the long school day. The tread is wearing some on the heals but this is after 6 months of daily wear. I have washed both pair in the washing machine and they held up well (and clearly need it again). They fit true to size. ... show more

I knew these green Mishansha boots were cheap, but I only needed them to last for two 3 day vacations to state and national parks for my 9 yr old. They didn’t. The tongue on one of them came completely off. My son REALLY enjoyed them for one day of hiking up slick steep rock at Enchanted Rock State Park, for another day of pebbly and dirt trails at another park, but at the beginning of our last day at Pedernales State Park walking through wet waterways and bouldering between rocks, the tongue came off- drove him crazy all day. I loved the protective toe cap on these, the price, and how easily they brush off and look clean. My son didn’t like how wide they made his feet look and that they broke, but he loved the traction/ comfort/ ease of getting them on. Kids grow out of shoes so fast so the price is good, but only buy these if you have a short use for them. ... show more

My 5 yr old son is VERY tough on shoes. With his other sneakers, the front part of the sneaker begins to separate early on or we have problems with the velcro straps. Not so with these. He's worn these for several months now and they have held up well! No part of the shoe is coming apart, the velcro is still in tact and still works.
