This little engine is awesome. Of course it actually works. It comes with some spare parts but not oil for the lamp. The little voltmeter does indeed register the volts produced while operating. The USB connection is for the voltmeter and does not need to be plugged in for the machine to work, only to register volts produced. It’s a great looking little device that can be a nice gift for a child, or an adult. For me, it’s gleaming silver and eye-catching design makes it a welcome display piece.

The media could not be loaded. Pulled this product from the box, filled with regular alcohol from the medicine cabinet, installed the wick and had this beautiful little Stirling Engine running in minutes. Very cool learning tool device that is amazing to watch. Even came with the USB plug in light to prove it's producing electrical energy. Really unique and easy to recommend this item for young and old alike.
