Constipation is uncomfortable, distracting, and stressful. I’ve tried stimulant laxatives before and they felt aggressive. MiraLAX is different. This is an osmotic laxative with PEG 3350, so it works by drawing water into the stool instead of forcing your intestines to panic. That’s exactly why I like it. It feels gradual and natural. The powder dissolves easily in water, juice, or coffee. It’s basically tasteless. I don’t want my drink hijacked. I usually take it once daily when I need it, and within a day or two things feel normal again. The 45-dose bottle lasts a long time, especially if you’re using it occasionally. It doesn’t feel harsh or dehydrating, and I don’t feel wiped out afterward. If you want relief without feeling like your body is in distress, this fixes the problem quietly and lets you move on with your day. This is the best non habit forming laxative you can use. I take a medication which I cannot live without and it's side effect slows down muscle contractions in the intestines and increases fluid absorbtion so needless to say was struggling for quite a while. After finding Miralax and my doctor actually recommended it I've been taking it daily. I found that about a half a regular dose works best for me so it's not too watery. It has literally changed my life. If you know what it's like to have constant constipation it's really not fun at all. This isn't a fast acting laxative it will take a few days to take effect so don't expect to go right after taking it. There are other fast acting laxatives if you need immediate results. This one is more like a prevenative so it doens't happen in the future. I've been on this for a couple of months now and have been going at least once every other day. Before Miralax i was lucky if I went once a week or even once every other week. This powder literally changed my liffe for the better I could not recommend it enough. It's not habit forming and can be used for long peroiods of time without any negative side effects. That is why I choose Miralax. I always had my own concoction for dealing with constipation and found some relief. Then I discovered MiraLAX and was skeptical to stop what I was doing and try something new. I'm glad I did. I was able to stop take 3-4 pills daily and start mixing a scoop of MiraLAX a day in some tepid water. The result? An effective and better remedy than I had. There are other off-brand formulas that wish to compete. Skip them. When it comes to this part of your health, stick with the experts. You don't know about other fillers in the cheaper products or their effectiveness. MiraLAX does not disappoint and full mixes with water, while other less expensive brands don't.
