Description

Create a unique blend for your plants with Miracle-Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss. Sphagnum peat moss retains moisture and nutrients, and additionally helps promote strong root development. This gardening product is also enriched with Miracle-Gro Plant Food. This growing media is an excellent ingredient to lighten heavy potting soil mixes and native garden soil. Use with all plant types, indoor or outdoor, in containers or planted in in-ground garden beds. To blend your own potting mix for acid-loving plants, add equal parts sphagnum peat moss and pre-mixed potting mix. For seed starting support, blend 1 part peat moss to 1 part Miracle-Gro Perlite to create your own seed starting mix. Home gardeners can improve native soil in your garden beds or raised beds by blending 1 part peat moss and 1 part native soil. With all plants, refer to plant tags for specific sun or shade needs. Let mix dry to the touch between waterings, and don't allow plants to sit in drainage water. Remember to repot container plants annually to avoid compaction and replenish nutrients. This bundle includes two 8 qt. bags of Miracle-Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss.

Works really well for my blueberries. I mixed it into the soil to help with moisture retention and acidity, and my plant is doing great so far. The texture is nice and easy to work with. Definitely a good addition for acid-loving plants.

This was good for my fern potting mix I made. The texture is super soft and airy, so it is good for drainage. It is good at resisting pests too, and there isn’t a bad odor at all. The size of the bag for the money is good.
