This is it, the real deal. I use this on my plane irons (blade) that I sharpen with water stones for corrosion resistance and glide. I'm using a lint free cloth you can buy in a bag from the hardware store. Rub it on top of the minwax to build up a little on the rags, it's soft, and then apply to your surface. Buff down, don't leave it gobbed up, and you have a nice surface. I prefer the natural color over anything else since it's clear enough. There was an option to rate scent which i thought was funny. I'll say it doesn't have a strong smell unless you really get your face down into it, then there is the slight petrol smell. Perhaps if you were working a large piece you might notice it more. Probably not advisable to do so in an enclosed area or without ventilation. ... show more

I’m new to woodworking and I was having issues with wood sliding across my little table saw. I asked in a forum and got answers from “your blade is dull…” to “your saw is underpowered for hardwood…” Well, I could tell it was a friction issue and this paste wax fixed that. It’s been a couple of months since I applied it, but the wood still slides like butter. It was night and day difference after applying only a small amount of this stuff.
