Received as ordered ahead of scheduled time. Good quality and matches my older power drive Minn Kota Power Drive base plate bolt holes exactly. This is an original manufactured part. Instructions are included as well mounting hardware. NOTE: Instructions suggest using anti-seize compound on stainless steel bolts, (included), during assembly. Anti-seize is not included with this product.

Worked excellent. I previously had my powerdrive directly bolted to the boat. This will make things much easier bringing in the trolling motor inside for the winter. I did not have to drill more holes in my boat which was also nice. I was able to use 4 existing holes that I already had which made installation easy. Highly recommended, dont go without one. Pad lock feature is great for security.

Perfect. One thing to note is this allows your motor to extend out about 2-3 inches which is required for mounting. Wish I had ordered this sooner! Only con is the fact that this is kinda necessary for most boats just for the extra reach off the boat, and should be included in original motor purchase.

Installation on my power drive V2 was fairly easy. It is easier to slip the trolling motor on and off now. And easier to do so then some other mounts I have seen and used. It is a little concerning that it is just 1 screw holding the 2 together. While it seems fairly sturdy now, it will take some time to see how it holds up. Already the threads have some resistance. Have used it out on the water a few times..very easy to slip on and off for transport and holds the trolling motor very securely. Even when bouncing through waves. Still a little convered about the durability of the screw. But the rest of the mount is holding up well.

The new generations of trolling motors are very expensive which makes them highly sought after and proned to thievery. This adapter plate will give you a piece of mind and keep your investment safe. Whether you store your boat outside, need to head into a store before or after fishing or park the boat anywhere you can take your trolling motor off in minutes and lock away safely. Another feature that many do not know about is load/unload slide back clearance. The new trolling motors extend a bit beyond the front of the boat. When loading or un loading your motor could get damaged if positioning is not correct. Before load and unload just slide the motor back and no more worries. I have had zero problems with this product, am not endorced and would highly recomend adding this to your boat. Just one more very important tip. If this product makes it easier for you to get off it will for thieves as well so put a lock on it if you don't remove it. A decent size paddle lock fits through the added lock hole.

Heavy Duty and well made. It also has an opening for installing a padlock. The reason for the title is that if you ever have to remove the motor for service or warranty support it would be a pain to uninstall by removing the bolts that go through the deck. Possible but a real PIA because the access is or maybe tight as in my case. It would also make removal for winter storage inside if your boat will be outside in cold temps. I was going to knock off a couple of stars because the mounting hardware shipped with unit is not stainless. They are bright coated and will eventually rust. What’s up with that Minn Kota? The motor shipped with stainless steel hardware. Get some stainless steel bolts for the installation.

What can I say? It's a Minn kota OEM plate for quick release. It works as intended and it's very durable. I had to put a plate under the bow to support it and the back support because I didn't know how durable my own boat was at about but so far this has held up great. I've also since put in a lock on it. Nothing special. Just those locks that you can lock your hitch with. They also work for these types of quick releases from Minn kota.
